Overview#
More Machinery And Features is a massive content expansion designed to enhance the technical and exploratory aspects of Minecraft. It bridges the gap between vanilla gameplay and industrial mods by introducing a custom energy system, automated resource gathering, and high-tech machinery. Players can build quarries to automate mining, pilot submarines to explore the crushing depths of the ocean, and travel to entirely new dimensions like The Void. The pack is built to be modular and performance-optimized, ensuring that even with dozens of new machines and entities, the game remains stable.

Machinery and Technology#
The core of the data pack revolves around its industrial machines. Most machines require Energy Units (EU) to function, which are generated by power sources and distributed via batteries.
The Custom Crafter
To begin with the mod, players must create the Custom Crafter. This is a specialized block (typically a Dropper) that allows for the assembly of advanced components that a standard crafting table cannot handle.
Industrial Machines
| Machine | Function | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Quarry | Automatically mines a 16x16 area down to bedrock. | Requires a Drill Head and Energy. |
| Grinder | Processes ores into dusts, effectively doubling the yield of raw materials. | Requires Energy. |
| Electric Furnace | Smelts items at a significantly faster rate than a standard furnace. | Requires Energy. |
| Auto-Crafter | Automatically crafts items based on a set recipe when provided with materials. | Requires a Redstone signal. |
| Solar Panel | Generates Energy Units (EU) during the daytime. | Must have clear sky access. |
| Wind Turbine | Generates EU based on the height at which it is placed. | Higher placement yields more power. |
| Battery | Stores excess energy generated by power sources for later use. | Can be upgraded for higher capacity. |

Vehicles: The Submarine#
The Submarine is a specialized entity-based vehicle designed for deep-sea exploration. It protects the player from drowning and the high-pressure damage found in the Deep Ocean dimension.
- Controls: Use WASD to steer, Space to ascend, and Left-Shift to descend.
- Oxygen: The submarine has its own oxygen reserve that refills when at the surface.
- Durability: The hull can be damaged by hostile sea creatures and must be repaired with Iron Ingots.
- Deep Sea Access: Driving the submarine into the deepest parts of the ocean (Y < 30) in specific biomes will trigger the transition to the Deep Ocean dimension.

Dimensions#
The pack adds two primary dimensions, each with unique environmental hazards and resources.
The Void
The Void is a dark, desolate dimension consisting of floating islands made of Void Stone. Gravity is lower here, allowing for higher jumps, but the atmosphere is toxic without a specialized breathing apparatus.
- Access: Build a portal frame of Crying Obsidian and ignite it with a Void Core.
- Resources: Void Crystals, Ancient Debris (more common here).
The Deep Ocean
An endless abyss of water where sunlight never reaches. The pressure is so high that players without a Submarine or a full Diving Suit will take continuous damage.
- Access: Submerge a Submarine in deep ocean biomes.
- Resources: Luminescent corals, rare pearls, and sunken treasure chests.

Mobs and Creatures#
New entities inhabit the world and the new dimensions, ranging from passive wildlife to dangerous bosses.
| Creature | Location | Health | Drops | Behavior |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Void Dweller | The Void | 20 HP | Void Essence | Neutral; teleports when attacked. |
| Deep Sea Shark | Deep Ocean | 40 HP | Shark Tooth, Raw Fish | Aggressive; fast swimmer. |
| Anglerfish | Deep Ocean | 15 HP | Glowstone Dust | Hostile; attracts players with its light. |
| Void Guardian (Boss) | Void Fortress | 300 HP | Void Heart, Nether Star | Boss; fires explosive void charges. |
| Giant Squid | Deep Ocean | 60 HP | Ink Sacs, Tentacles | Neutral; will drag players down if provoked. |

Items and Materials#
To progress through the machinery tiers, players must craft and process new materials.
- Steel Ingot: Created by smelting Iron Dust (from the Grinder) with Coal in a Blast Furnace. Used for most machine frames.
- Void Crystal: Mined in The Void. Used for high-tier energy storage and the Void Core.
- Diving Suit: A specialized armor set made from Copper and Glass. The full set provides Water Breathing and Pressure Resistance.
- Drill Head: An attachment for the Quarry. Can be made of Iron, Diamond, or Netherite, determining the mining speed and durability.
- Energy Cable: Used to connect power generators (Solar Panels) to consumers (Grinders) or storage (Batteries).

Mechanics and Energy System#
The data pack utilizes a custom scoreboard-based energy system to track Energy Units (EU).
- Generation: Power is generated by Solar Panels (day), Wind Turbines (height-based), or Coal Generators (fuel-based).
- Transmission: Machines must be placed adjacent to each other or connected via Energy Cables to share power.
- Consumption: Each machine has a specific EU/tick cost. If the energy supply is insufficient, the machine will stall.
- Upgrades: Most machines have slots for "Speed Upgrades" (increases processing speed but raises energy cost) and "Efficiency Upgrades" (reduces energy cost).
Commands
/function mmaf:help: Displays an in-game guide for the data pack./function mmaf:give_all: (Admin only) Gives all custom items for testing purposes./trigger mmaf_energy: Displays the current energy level of the machine the player is looking at.
