Overview#
Wolf Armor & Storage is a utility mod designed to enhance the survivability and utility of tamed wolves in Minecraft. By default, vanilla wolves are fragile and often lost in combat or environmental hazards. This mod addresses those issues by introducing five tiers of craftable armor, a dedicated inventory system, and smart auto-healing mechanics. It overrides the basic wolf entity to allow for these enhancements without requiring custom entities, ensuring compatibility with most other wolf-related mods.

Key Features
- Wolf Armor: Five tiers of armor (Leather, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Chainmail) to protect your pets.
- Wolf Storage: Attach chests to wolves to provide up to 15 slots of portable inventory.
- Auto-Healing: Wolves can automatically consume food from their inventory to restore health when injured.
- Interactive GUI: A dedicated interface to manage armor, storage, and view detailed wolf stats.
- Dyeable Leather: Leather wolf armor can be customized with any of the 16 vanilla dyes.
Wolf Armor#
Wolf armor provides a significant defense boost, reducing the damage your wolf takes from most sources. The protection values are balanced to match the equivalent player armor materials.
Armor Tiers and Stats
| Armor Type | Protection Value | Special Properties |
|---|---|---|
| Leather | 3 Armor Points | Can be dyed any color in a crafting grid. |
| Iron | 5 Armor Points | Solid mid-tier protection. |
| Gold | 7 Armor Points | High protection, though lower durability in some versions. |
| Diamond | 11 Armor Points | The ultimate protection for your wolf. |
| Chainmail | 5 Armor Points | Found exclusively as loot in generated structures. |
Dyeing Leather Armor
Just like vanilla leather armor, Leather Wolf Armor can be placed in a crafting grid with any dye to change its color. This allows players to easily distinguish between different wolves in a pack.
