Blast is a specialized explosives mod for Minecraft (Fabric/Quilt) that expands the game's demolition capabilities far beyond standard TNT. It focuses on providing players with throwable bombs and directional explosives that are balanced for survival gameplay. Unlike vanilla TNT, Blast explosives ensure that all destroyed blocks are dropped as items and that existing items on the ground are not destroyed by the blast, making them ideal for high-efficiency mining and resource gathering.

All explosives in the Blast mod share several core attributes to ensure balanced and predictable behavior:

• 100% Loot Drops: Every block destroyed by a Blast explosive will drop its corresponding item, ensuring no resources are lost during demolition.
• Item Immunity: Items dropped on the ground are not destroyed by explosions. Instead, they are pushed away by the shockwave, allowing for safe collection after a blast.
• Stacking & Cooldown: Throwable bombs have a maximum stack size of 16. Outside of Creative mode, there is a 1-second cooldown between throws to prevent spamming.
• Underwater Behavior: Standard bombs are typically defused by water. However, Trigger variants and Naval Mines can detonate underwater, though block destruction may be limited depending on the bomb type.
• Claim Protection: The mod supports the Common Protection API, meaning explosives will respect land claims from mods like FTB Chunks, Cadmus, and Flan.

Bombs come in two primary variants: Timed (fuse-based) and Trigger (impact-based). Timed bombs have a 2-second fuse, while Trigger bombs explode immediately upon hitting a block or entity.

Standard Tiers

Specialized Utility Bombs

• Dirt Bomb: Created by surrounding a standard bomb with 8 dirt blocks. Instead of destroying terrain, it creates a pile of dirt, making it the perfect tool for filling creeper holes or terraforming.
• Pearl Bomb: Uses an Ender Pearl as a base. It applies a Silk Touch effect to all destroyed blocks and randomly teleports any entities caught in the blast radius.
• Slime Bomb: Deals zero damage to entities but provides massive knockback. Useful for crowd control or launching yourself/mobs into the air.
• Confetti Bomb: A purely aesthetic explosive that releases colorful particles which remain on the ground for 1 minute. Available in both Timed and Trigger variants.
• Naval Mine: A heavy-duty trigger bomb (Power 4.0) specifically designed for underwater use. It does not sink and can destroy blocks even when submerged.

These bombs replace traditional explosion damage with projectile-based effects.

• Amethyst Bomb: Upon detonation, it fires 70 Amethyst Shards in all directions. Each shard deals 8 damage (4 hearts), making it a lethal anti-personnel weapon.
• Frost Bomb: An icy alternative that fires icicles. These deal negligible damage but apply a Freezing effect that bypasses armor, slowing and damaging targets over time.

Blast adds several stationary explosives for large-scale mining and tactical operations.

Folly Red Paint & Dry Ice

• Dry Ice: A unique ice variant that does not melt or create water. It can only be obtained via the Cold Digger and requires Silk Touch to harvest.
• Folly Red Paint: A sticky substance similar to Honey Blocks. It naturally dries into Dried Folly Red Paint (non-sticky). Using a Honey Bottle on it creates Fresh Folly Red Paint, which never dries out. It can also be smelted in a furnace to dry it instantly.

Remote Detonator

The Remote Detonator is a high-tech utility block used to trigger explosives from a distance.

• Activation: To trigger the device, a player must look at the block and throw an Ender Eye in its direction. The eye will teleport into the device, instantly detonating all adjacent explosives (TNT, Stripminers, etc.).
• Range: This works through walls and over long distances, provided the player has a line of sight to the block's location.
• Automation: Placing a Hopper beneath the Remote Detonator will automatically extract the Ender Eye after use, allowing the device to be reset for the next detonation.

Most items in Blast are crafted using a combination of Gunpowder and a base material.
