Overview#
The Plushie Mod, developed by Whalestrom (Link4real), is a decorative expansion for Minecraft that introduces a vast collection of over 80 unique plushies. These items are modeled after nearly every entity in the game, from common farm animals like Cows and Chickens to formidable bosses like the Ender Dragon and the Warden.
Designed primarily for base decoration and collection, these plushies are not just static blocks; they feature interactive sound effects and flexible placement options. Whether you are building a cozy bedroom or a trophy room for your defeated foes, the Plushie Mod provides a cute, miniature version of the Minecraft bestiary to inhabit your world.
Plushie Collection#
The mod aims to include every vanilla mob. As of the latest updates for 1.20.1 and 1.21.4, the following plushies are available:
Passive & Neutral Mobs
- Land Animals: Axolotl, Bee, Camel, Cat, Chicken, Cow, Donkey, Fox (Red & White), Frog (Temperate, Cold, Warm), Goat, Horse, Llama, Mooshroom, Mule, Ocelot, Panda, Pig, Rabbit, Sheep, Sniffer, Strider, Turtle, Wolf.
- Aquatic: Cod, Dolphin, Pufferfish, Salmon, Squid, Tadpole.
- Special: Allay, Bat, Iron Golem, Snow Golem, Villager, Wandering Trader.
Hostile Mobs
- Overworld: Cave Spider, Creeper, Drowned, Enderman, Endermite, Guardian, Husk, Phantom, Silverfish, Skeleton, Slime, Spider, Stray, Vex, Witch, Zombie, Zombie Villager.
- The Nether: Blaze, Ghast, Hoglin, Magma Cube, Piglin, Piglin Brute, Piglin, Strider, Wither Skeleton, Zoglin, Zombified Piglin.
- The End: Ender Dragon, Shulker.
- Illagers: Evoker, Pillager, Ravager, Vindicator.
- Deep Dark: Warden.
- Bosses: Wither, Ender Dragon.
Crafting & Recipes#
Most plushies follow a universal crafting pattern. This recipe requires four pieces of Wool, four pieces of String, and one thematic item that represents the mob.

Mechanics & Interaction#
The plushies in this mod are designed with several unique mechanics to enhance their utility as decorations:
- Squeaking Interaction: Right-clicking a placed plushie will play a high-pitched "squeak" version of the mob's actual sound effect. For example, the Creeper plushie will hiss, and the Cow plushie will moo.
- Waterlogging: All plushies are waterloggable. This allows them to be placed inside water blocks without creating air pockets, making them perfect for decorating aquariums or underwater bases.
- Rotation: When placing a plushie, it will face the player. They can be oriented in four cardinal directions to fit specific furniture or shelf layouts.
- Placement: Plushies can be placed on any solid surface, including slabs, stairs, and glass. They have a small hitbox, allowing multiple plushies to be placed in close proximity.
Technical Details#
Block Properties
- Hardness: 0.5 (Can be broken quickly by hand).
- Blast Resistance: 0.5 (Very susceptible to explosions).
- Tool: None required (Hand is sufficient).
- Stack Size: 64.
- Luminous: Most plushies do not emit light, though the Warden and Allay variants may have emissive textures depending on the version and shaders used.
Requirements
For the mod to function correctly, the following dependencies are typically required:
- Architectury API: Required for versions 1.3 and upwards.
- Fabric API: Required if using the Fabric mod loader.
