Overview#
The Pokemon Adventure Modpack - Will You Catch Them All? is a comprehensive Minecraft modpack that transforms the game into a living Pokémon world. Unlike other Pokémon mods, this pack is built on the Pokecube framework, which emphasizes real-time combat, survival integration, and a blocky aesthetic that fits perfectly with vanilla Minecraft.
Players begin their journey by selecting a starter Pokémon and receiving a Pokewatch (the mod's version of a Pokedex). The modpack includes over 800 Pokémon across all generations, featuring unique AI behaviors, a hunger system, and the ability for Pokémon to interact with the environment—such as cutting trees, digging holes, or generating power for machines.
Pokémon (Pokemobs)#
Pokémon in this modpack, referred to as Pokemobs, are dynamic entities that spawn throughout the world based on biomes, time of day, and climate.
Behavior and Stats
Pokemobs possess several key attributes:
- Real-Time Combat: Battles occur directly in the world without transitioning to a separate screen. Pokémon use moves dynamically, and players can command them to attack, stay, or sit.
- Hunger System: Pokémon require food to remain effective. They will naturally seek out and eat berries from bushes or trees. If they become too hungry, their performance in battle will drop.
- Leveling: Pokémon gain experience by defeating other Pokemobs or vanilla Minecraft mobs (Zombies, Creepers, etc.).
- Nature and IVs/EVs: Each Pokémon has a specific nature and individual values that determine its stat growth, similar to the handheld games.

Functional Blocks#
Specialized machines are required to manage your Pokémon team and progress through the mod.
Pokecenter (Healer)
The Healer is used to restore the HP and PP of your Pokémon. It requires a power source (like an Electric-type Pokémon nearby or Forge Energy) to operate efficiently.
- Recipe: 4 Stone + 1 Iron Ingot + 1 Redstone Dust + 1 Milk Bucket.
PC (Storage System)
The PC allows players to store Pokémon that are not currently in their party. It features a grid-based interface for organizing your collection.
- Recipe: 6 Iron Ingots + 1 Glass Block + 1 Redstone Dust + 1 Chest.
Fossil Reanimator
Used to bring ancient Pokémon back to life. The process requires a Gene Extractor, a Cloning Chamber, and an Energy Siphon powered by an Electric Pokémon.
- Extract DNA from a Fossil into a Water Bottle using the Gene Extractor.
- Combine the DNA bottle with a Pokémon Egg in the Cloning Chamber to hatch the fossil Pokémon.
Mechanics & Systems#
Real-Time Battling
Battles are initiated by throwing a Pokecube containing a Pokémon at a wild target.
- Move Selection: Use the Pokewatch GUI or assigned hotkeys to cycle through your Pokémon's four moves.
- Tactics: Terrain matters; Water Pokémon gain advantages in rain or water, while Fire Pokémon are weakened in rain.
World Interaction
Pokémon can be configured to perform tasks in the world:
- Cut: Grass/Bug types can clear tall grass or harvest wood.
- Dig: Ground/Rock types can mine blocks or dig holes.
- Flash: Electric types can provide light in dark areas.
Breeding
Pokémon left together in a Daycare Block or a fenced area may produce an egg if they share a compatible Egg Group and are of opposite genders. Eggs must be carried in the player's inventory to hatch.
Legendary Pokémon#
Legendaries are rare and often require specific conditions or items to appear.
- Kyogre: Spawns in the Kyogre Cave, a structure found on the ocean surface. Requires a Red Orb to summon at the Legendary Spawner.
- Groudon: Spawns in the Groudon Cave within the Nether. Requires a Blue Orb to summon.
- Rayquaza: Can be found roaming in the high atmosphere or summoned at the Sky Pillar.
- Mewtwo: Created through the cloning process using Mew DNA (found in jungle temples).
