Simply Tea is a culinary and agricultural mod designed to enhance the Minecraft experience through the art of tea. It moves beyond simple food items by introducing a multi-step brewing process, world-generation elements, and functional beverages that provide tactical advantages. Players can find tea trees in the wild, cultivate their own plantations, and use specialized ceramic tools to brew everything from caffeinated black tea to soothing floral infusions.

The foundation of the mod is the Tea Tree, a unique plant that generates naturally in the world. Unlike standard Minecraft trees, tea trees function more like large bushes.

Natural Generation

Tea trees can be found spawning in temperate biomes, including:

• Forests
• Birch Forests
• Dark Forests
• Mountains/Hills

Growth and Harvesting

Tea trees consist of a trunk and leaf blocks. They have a multi-stage growth cycle:

1. Sapling Stage: Planted on grass or dirt. Can be bone-mealed to accelerate growth.
2. Mature Stage: The tree reaches its full height (usually 2 blocks tall).
3. Harvesting: Players can right-click the leaves of a mature tea tree to harvest Tea Leaves. This will revert the leaves to a 'harvested' state, and they will slowly regrow over time.
4. Pruning: Using Shears on the wood/trunk of the tea tree will yield Tea Sticks, which are used in specific recipes and can also be used as fuel.

To enjoy tea, players must first craft the necessary ceramic equipment and process raw leaves.

Processing Leaves

Raw tea leaves cannot be brewed immediately and must be processed into specific varieties:

• Green Tea Leaves: Obtained by smelting a fresh Tea Leaf in a furnace or campfire.
• Black Tea Leaves: Obtained by crafting a fresh Tea Leaf (representing the fermentation/oxidation process).
• Tea Sticks: Obtained by shearing tea trees; used as a crafting ingredient for certain tea types.

Brewing Tools

Brewing tea is a logical, multi-step process that requires heat and water.

1. Fill the Teapot: Right-click a water source with an empty Teapot to fill it.
2. Boil the Water: Place the Teapot (Water) into a furnace or campfire. Once the process is complete, you will receive a Teapot (Boiling).
3. Steep the Tea: Combine the Teapot (Boiling) with your desired tea leaves or ingredients in a crafting grid. This creates a Teapot (Tea Name).
4. Pour the Tea: Combine the Teapot (Tea) with an empty Teacup in the crafting grid. One teapot typically contains enough tea to fill four cups.
5. Drink: Hold the right-click button to drink from the filled teacup and receive its associated effects.

Each tea type provides a specific status effect, making them useful for different gameplay scenarios.

Note: Drinking tea also restores a small amount of hunger and saturation, though less than a full meal.

Most items in Simply Tea are created using standard vanilla materials like Clay and Bricks.

Equipment Recipes

• Unfired Teapot: 5 Clay Balls in a 'U' shape (similar to a boat or minecart).
• Unfired Teacup: 3 Clay Balls in a small 'V' shape (similar to a glass bottle).
• Teapot/Teacup: Smelt the unfired versions in a furnace to create the usable ceramic items.

Simply Tea includes a configuration file that allows server owners and players to customize the experience. Options typically include:

• Tree Generation: Toggle whether tea trees spawn naturally in the world.
• Spawn Rate: Adjust the frequency of tea tree patches in biomes.
• Effect Durations: Modify how long the status effects from tea last.
• Hunger Values: Adjust the amount of hunger and saturation restored by drinking tea.
