Overview#
Tesslocator, developed by LatvianModder, is a specialized logistics mod designed for high-speed, compact, and wireless resource management. It serves as a spiritual successor and hybrid of the classic Translocators mod (by ChickenBones) and the Tesseract (from Thermal Expansion).
The mod adds two tiers of transport mechanisms: Basic Tesslocators for moving resources between adjacent inventories in the same block space, and Advanced Tesslocators for wireless, cross-dimensional transfer using a color-coded frequency system. All Tesslocators are highly compact, allowing multiple units to occupy a single block space on different faces of an inventory.
Basic Tesslocators#
Basic Tesslocators are used for extremely short-distance transport. They must be placed on the face of an inventory (like a chest, tank, or machine). For resources to move, at least two Tesslocators must exist within the same block space: one set to Output (Orange) and one set to Input (Blue).

Interaction and GUI
- Toggle Mode: Sneak-right-click with an empty hand to toggle between Input (Blue) and Output (Orange).
- Open GUI: Right-click the center of the Tesslocator to open its configuration menu. Here you can set filters and view installed upgrades.
- Filtering: Item Tesslocators feature a 3x3 filter grid in their GUI. You can set items to be whitelisted or blacklisted.
Advanced Tesslocators#
Advanced Tesslocators function similarly to Tesseracts, allowing for wireless transfer over any distance and across dimensions. Unlike basic versions, they do not need to be in the same block space to communicate.
Wireless Linking
Advanced Tesslocators use a color-frequency system based on Minecraft dyes. To link two or more Advanced Tesslocators:
- Hold a dye in your main hand and another dye in your off-hand.
- Right-click the Advanced Tesslocator to set its frequency.
- Any Advanced Tesslocators with the same two-color combination will share the same wireless network.
Advanced Stats
- Advanced Item Tesslocator: High-speed wireless item transfer.
- Advanced Fluid Tesslocator: High-speed wireless fluid transfer.
- Advanced Energy Tesslocator: Features a 4,000,000 RF buffer and supports transfer rates up to 4,000,000 RF/t.
Upgrades#
Tesslocators can be enhanced by right-clicking them with specific items. These upgrades change the behavior or speed of the transport.

Note: To remove upgrades, sneak-right-click the Tesslocator with an empty hand while the GUI is closed.
Recipes#
Most recipes in Tesslocator yield 2 units per craft. The Diamond Nugget is a custom item added by the mod for the Regulate upgrade.

Mechanics and Logic#
Resource Distribution
If multiple Input (Blue) Tesslocators are present in the same block space or on the same wireless frequency as an Output (Orange) Tesslocator, the resources will be split equally among all available valid destinations. This allows for easy 1-to-N distribution systems.
Regulate Mode
When a Diamond Nugget is applied to an Item Tesslocator:
- On Input (Blue): It will only pull items until the attached inventory contains the amount specified in the filter.
- On Output (Orange): It will only push items out if the attached inventory has more than the amount specified in the filter.
