4. Van Hohenheim

It’s astonishing that Edward and Alphonse’s father has existed for centuries and that his blood was utilized to create the primary antagonist in the series. He witnessed the birth of Father, the initial Homunculus, and also witnessed the latter’s grim act of sacrificing a million lives to bestow immortality upon both of them.

5. Roy Mustang

Roy Mustang is widely adored by fans of the series due to his unwavering badassery. His ability to unleash devastating fire-based attacks with a mere snap of his fingers is truly awe-inspiring. 6. Scar

Scar’s appearance, with a prominent X-shaped scar on his forehead, could lead one to mistake him for the true Samurai X. However, despite their superficial similarity, Scar’s history and motivations are vastly different. Scar is a survivor of the devastating Ishval Civil War, and he has dedicated his life to seeking revenge by eliminating State Alchemists.

7. King Bradley

The revelation of King Bradley’s true identity as Wrath was a monumental plot twist in Fullmetal Alchemist. However, in hindsight, it shouldn’t come as a surprise, given that he was known as the Führer.

8. Pride

In Fullmetal Alchemist, discerning friend from foe is never easy, and the revelation that King Bradley’s adopted son, Selim Bradley, was actually Pride, the first Homunculus ever created by Father and his trusted second-in-command, was a shock. It was hard to believe that a seemingly innocent little boy could be the most powerful among a group of menacing Homunculi, but that’s the unpredictable nature of anime.

9. Lust

Contrary to her name, Lust in Fullmetal Alchemist craved chaos and violence instead of romance. Known as the Ultimate Spear, Lust possessed sharp claws that rivaled those of Wolverine in ferocity.

10. Envy

Envy’s very reason for existence was to inflict suffering upon humans, and he took perverse pleasure in boasting about his role in igniting the Ishval Civil War. However, what truly sent chills down people’s spines was when he callously murdered Maes Hughes without any remorse.
