Overview#
Explorations expands world generation with a set of new, hand-built structures that spawn naturally across the Overworld, giving you fresh places to find and loot as you travel. Everything is built in the vanilla style, so the new structures feel like a natural part of the world rather than something out of place.
Alongside the structures, the mod sprinkles scarecrows into farmland biomes and adds decorative statues to vanilla villages, making the world feel more lived-in. This is a 9Minecraft Studios port to Minecraft 26.2 for both Fabric and NeoForge. It only adds to worldgen and changes no existing mechanics.
Structures#
Explore and you may discover:
Jungle Temple
An overgrown stone temple hidden among the trees, complete with mossy brickwork and vines.
Desert Ruin
Crumbling sandstone ruins half-buried in the dunes.
Shrine
A small altar flanked by flaming pillars, guarding a hidden offering.
Underground Temple
A buried temple waiting below the surface for those who dig deep.
Forgotten Well & Campsite
Quiet roadside spots - an old well and an abandoned camp with a little loot.
Slime Cave
A cave pocket teeming with slimes.
Giant Oak Tree
A towering oak far larger than the vanilla trees, decorated with lanterns and cave vines.
Floating Island
A drifting chunk of land suspended in the sky.
Extra Touches#
- Scarecrows generate in farmland-type biomes (oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, bamboo variants), adding a rustic feel to the countryside.
- Statues are added to the building pools of vanilla villages, so villages you find can include new decorative pieces.
- Large mushrooms are sprinkled into suitable biomes as an extra bit of natural decoration.
All of these are controlled through worldgen and blend into existing generation.
