Overview#
The Enderite Mod serves as the ultimate successor to the Netherite tier, providing players with powerful tools, armor, and utility blocks specifically designed for the End dimension. Unlike Netherite, which is found in the depths of the Nether, Enderite must be harvested from the End and requires a unique explosive mining process.
All Enderite items are fireproof and possess the Void Floating ability, meaning they do not fall into the void but instead hover at Y=0, allowing players to retrieve them even after a fatal fall. Additionally, Enderite equipment offers higher durability, efficiency, and protection than its Netherite counterparts.
Resources & Mining#
Enderite Ore
Enderite Ore generates in the End dimension between heights Y=12 and Y=48. It is exceptionally durable and cannot be mined in its natural state, even with a Netherite Pickaxe.
The Explosion Mechanic: To harvest Enderite, the ore must first be "cracked" using an explosion. Players can use TNT, End Crystals, or Respawn Anchors to trigger an explosion near the ore. Once the explosion occurs, the block transforms into Cracked Enderite Ore, which can then be successfully mined using a Netherite Pickaxe.
Enderite Scraps & Ingots
- Enderite Scraps: Obtained by smelting Cracked Enderite Ore in a Blast Furnace. Standard furnaces will not work.
- Enderite Ingot: Crafted by combining 4 Enderite Scraps and 4 Diamonds in a shapeless crafting recipe. This ingot is the base material for all Enderite equipment upgrades.
Crafting & Progression#
In Minecraft, the mod follows the vanilla Smithing system. To upgrade Netherite equipment to Enderite, players must obtain a specific template.
Enderite Upgrade Smithing Template
This template is found exclusively in End City chests. It has a similar rarity to the Spire Armor Trim. Once obtained, it can be duplicated using 7 Diamonds, 1 End Stone, and 1 Template.

Armor & Equipment#
Enderite Armor provides the highest protection values in the game and includes specialized environmental perks.

Special Properties
- Enderite Helmet: Prevents Endermen from becoming aggressive when looked at (similar to a Carved Pumpkin but with full armor protection).
- Enderite Elytra Chestplate: A fusion of the Enderite Chestplate and Elytra. It provides the full armor value of the chestplate while allowing for Elytra flight. It also supports armor trims.
- Void Floating: If dropped or if the player dies in the void, the armor pieces will float at Y=0 and will not despawn or fall further.
Tools & Weapons#
Enderite tools are faster and more durable than Netherite, with weapons featuring unique teleportation and anti-Enderman capabilities.
Weaponry
- Enderite Sword: Deals 9 base damage. It can be charged with Ender Pearls in a Smithing Table (max 64 charges). While charged, players can perform a short-range teleport by holding Sneak + Right Click.
- Enderite Shield: Can also be charged with Ender Pearls. When blocking while sneaking, it teleports attackers away from the player. It features a unique "Ender Portal" visual effect when charged.
- Enderite Bow & Crossbow: These projectiles are specifically designed to bypass the Enderman's teleportation dodge, allowing players to shoot them directly.
Tools
- Enderite Pickaxe/Axe/Shovel/Hoe: Feature significantly higher durability (~2350) and faster mining speeds than Netherite. All tools are fireproof and float in the void.
- Enderite Shears: A high-durability version of shears that is immune to void loss and fire.
Blocks & Utility#
Enderite Respawn Anchor
This block allows players to set their spawn point within the End dimension.
- Crafting: 6 Enderite Ingots + 3 Ender Pearls.
- Charging: It is charged using Ender Pearls (up to 4 charges).
- Warning: Like the Nether Respawn Anchor, it will explode if used in the Overworld or Nether.
Enderite Shulker Box
An upgraded storage solution that is fireproof and void-proof.
- Inventory: Features an expanded 9x5 (45 slots) inventory compared to the vanilla 9x3.
- Durability: Has much higher blast resistance, surviving TNT explosions even in item form.
Mechanics & Enchantments#
Void Floating Mechanic
This is the core mechanic of the mod. Enderite items ignore gravity when dropped and will never fall below Y=0. If a player falls into the void and dies, their Enderite gear will remain floating at the bottom of the world, where it can be safely retrieved using an Elytra or blocks.
Void Floating Enchantment
This enchantment can be applied to non-Enderite items to give them a chance to survive the void. It has three tiers:
- Tier I: 33% chance to survive void damage.
- Tier II: 66% chance to survive void damage.
- Tier III: 100% chance to survive void damage. When the effect triggers, the item will teleport to the player's inventory or float at Y=0 instead of being destroyed.
Configuration#
The mod includes a configuration file (via Cloth Config API) that allows server owners and players to adjust various settings:
- Armor Stats: Customize protection, toughness, and durability values.
- Template Spawn Rate: Adjust the probability of finding Enderite Upgrade Templates in End Cities.
- Infinity Bows: Toggle whether Enderite Bows with the Infinity enchantment require an arrow in the inventory.
- Void Floating: Enable or disable the floating mechanic for specific item categories.
