Overview#

FactoryCraft is a significant machinery add-on for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, designed to bring advanced automation and industrial-themed building options to the game. Created by IDanzitos Br, the mod enriches the player's experience by adding various machines, items, decorative blocks, and unique creatures. [1, 2] To utilize the features of FactoryCraft, players must enable 'Experimental Gameplay' in their world settings. [1] Upon initial installation, players are provided with a 'Blocks List' and a 'Factory Craft Add-On Guide' to help them navigate and understand the mod's extensive content. [3]

Machines#

FactoryCraft introduces a variety of machines designed to automate tasks, process resources, and manage fluids within the game world.

Fluid Tank

The Fluid Tank is a block capable of storing one bucket of various liquids, including lava, water, oil, chocolate, or milk. [1] It possesses interesting reactive properties: if a Fluid Tank filled with chocolate is placed above ice, the liquid chocolate will gradually solidify into chocolate bars. Similarly, if a Fluid Tank containing lava is placed above cobblestone, the lava will transform into cobblestone. [1]

Spike

The Spike is a utility block that inflicts damage upon any entity standing on it. A key characteristic of the Spike is that, unlike some other damaging mechanisms, any items dropped by entities killed by a Spike are destroyed. [1]

Fluid Pipe

Fluid Pipes are essential for fluid transportation, allowing liquids to be moved between Fluid Tanks. Currently, only lava and water can be transported through Fluid Pipes. [1]

Liquid Insertion Pipe

This block facilitates the filling of Fluid Tanks. To use it, place the Liquid Insertion Pipe on top of a Fluid Tank and then throw an item containing the desired liquid (such as a water bowl, lava bucket, chocolate bucket, or milk bucket) onto the pipe. [1]

Flamethrower

The Flamethrower is a block that projects flames, specifically designed to burn mobs without destroying items. It requires activation by placing a Redstone Block directly underneath it. [1]

Oil Engine

The Oil Engine is a power-generating block that can activate certain other blocks which are not responsive to standard redstone signals. It is activated by placing a Fluid Tank full of oil underneath it. Once active, it will consume oil and run for approximately 50 seconds before requiring more fuel. [1]

Oil Lamp

The Oil Lamp is a light-emitting block that requires activation by an active Oil Engine to function. [1]

Item Spring

Similar to an item tube, the Item Spring is a block used for vertical item transportation, specifically moving items upwards. [3]

Conveyor Belt

Conveyor Belts are used to transport items horizontally. They are activated by placing a Redstone Block or an active Redstone Extender underneath them. The direction of item flow on a Conveyor Belt can be altered by interacting with it using a Hammer. [1]

Fan

The Fan is a machine that rapidly transports items upwards. It is activated by placing a Redstone Block underneath it. [1]

Redstone Extender

When activated by a Redstone Block placed nearby, the Redstone Extender serves to eternalize a redstone signal, maintaining its active state indefinitely. [1]

Grinder

The Grinder is a processing machine that can transform certain blocks. When marble is placed in the Grinder, it yields gravel. If netherrack is processed, it can produce crimson roots, warped roots, or vulcanite. The Grinder is activated by placing a Redstone Block underneath it. [1]

Harvester

The Harvester is an automated farming machine that breaks down mature crops such as sugar cane, wheat, potatoes, carrots, and beetroot. It also automatically replants all these crops except for sugar cane. It is activated by placing a Redstone Block underneath it. [1]

Oil Pumpjack

The Oil Pumpjack is a multi-block structure used for oil extraction. Its construction requires a Pumpjack Head, a Pumpjack Base, and an Oil Engine (or a similar power source) to operate. [1]

Drain

The Drain is a utility block designed to move a fluid source block (either water or lava) from the block space directly above it to the block space below it. [1]

Fluid Pump

The Fluid Pump is a block used to transfer liquids into a Fluid Tank placed directly on top of it. To activate the pump, a Redstone Block must be placed near it. Once active, it will pump the fluid block (lava, water, or an oil puddle) located directly below it into the Fluid Tank above. [1]

Decorative Blocks#

FactoryCraft introduces a range of decorative blocks to enhance industrial-themed builds and general aesthetics.

Copper Tiles

Copper Tiles are a decorative building block. They can be further processed into Cracked Copper Tiles by using a Stonecutter. [1]

Iron Pole

The Iron Pole features a vertical connectable texture, allowing multiple poles to be stacked seamlessly to create taller, continuous structures. [1]

Rope

Rope blocks also have a vertical connectable texture, enabling them to be stacked to create longer ropes. If the base block supporting a stack of ropes is broken, all ropes above it will also break. Ropes can also be broken by arrows. [1]

Wooden Window

The Wooden Window is a decorative block with a vertical connectable texture, similar to the Iron Pole and Rope, allowing for larger, continuous window designs. [1]

Marble

Marble is a refined decorative block crafted by combining 1 Cobblestone and 1 Diorite. Once obtained, Marble Blocks can be placed in a Stonecutter to create various Marble Block variations. [1]

Copper Platform

The Copper Platform is a decorative block characterized by a texture that connects vertically, allowing for continuous platform designs. [1]

Wooden Bridge

The Wooden Bridge is a decorative block that can be activated. When activated, its orientation or direction changes. [1]

Table and Chair

These are purely decorative blocks designed to furnish and enhance the visual appeal of structures. [1]

Glass Variations

FactoryCraft expands on standard glass by allowing players to create new glass variations. These are made by placing a regular glass block into a Stonecutter. [1]

Glowstone Variations

Similar to glass, new variations of Glowstone can be crafted by placing a standard glowstone block into a Stonecutter. [1]

Mobs#

The mod introduces new creatures that interact with the game world in unique ways.

Copper Ally

The Copper Ally is a constructible mob that does not spawn naturally. Players can create a Copper Ally by placing a Copper Base and then a Carved Pumpkin on top of it, mimicking the creation process of an Iron Golem or Snow Golem. [1]

Butterfly

The Butterfly is a peaceful mob that can be found naturally throughout the Overworld, with the exception of ocean and cold biomes. Butterflies are vulnerable to cold environments, taking damage in frozen biomes and actively fleeing them. They are generally fearful of all other mobs, including the player. Occasionally, a Butterfly will chase any flower, presumably for food. Every 100 seconds, a Butterfly will enter a sleep state for 30 seconds, during which it cannot move but regenerates all of its health. After this period, it wakes up and loses the regeneration effect. In an earlier version, Butterflies dropped magic dust, but currently, they do not drop any items. [1]

Items#

FactoryCraft adds several new items that serve various functions, from tools to informational guides.

Hammer

The Hammer is a tool used to modify the properties of certain blocks. Specifically, it can be used to change the direction of a Conveyor Belt or adjust a Fluid Pipe. [1]

Knife

The Knife is a tool capable of modifying specific blocks. For instance, it can transform Rich Grass into Fertilized Soil. [1]

Blocks List

Upon installing FactoryCraft, players receive a 'Blocks List' item. This item serves as an in-game reference, detailing all the new blocks introduced by the mod. [3]

Factory Craft Add-On Guide

Similar to the Blocks List, the 'Factory Craft Add-On Guide' is an item given to players upon installation. It provides comprehensive guidance and information about the mod's features and mechanics. [3]

Mechanics#

FactoryCraft introduces several core mechanics that govern its machines and interactions.

Redstone Activation

Many of the machines in FactoryCraft, including the Flamethrower, Oil Engine, Item Spring, Conveyor Belt, Fan, Redstone Extender, Grinder, Harvester, and Fluid Pump, are activated by redstone. This typically involves placing a Redstone Block directly underneath or in close proximity to the machine. [1]

Fluid Transport System

The mod features a dedicated fluid transport system centered around Fluid Tanks for storage and Fluid Pipes for conveyance. This system allows for the movement and management of various liquids. [1]

Item Transport System

For automated item movement, FactoryCraft provides Item Springs for vertical transport, and Conveyor Belts and Fans for horizontal and upward movement, respectively. [1, 3]

Block Modification Tools

Specialized tools like the Hammer and Knife are used to interact with and modify the properties or states of certain blocks within the mod. [1]

Unique Crafting System

For some items and blocks, FactoryCraft deviates from the traditional Minecraft crafting table. Instead, players may be required to transfer ingots into specific blocks to create new items. [3]

Stonecutter Utility

The Stonecutter block gains expanded utility with FactoryCraft. It is used to create variations of decorative blocks such as Marble, Copper Tiles, Glass, and Glowstone. [1]
