Overview#
The Familiars Mod introduces a variety of unique companion creatures, known as Familiars, into the game. These miniature mobs float around the player, providing special abilities and assistance. Unlike traditional tameable animals, Familiars are not found in the wild and cannot be tamed; instead, they are acquired and managed through a special item called the FamGuide. The mod is structured with a core API and various 'Fam Packs' that expand the selection of available Familiars. The creator, pitman-87, has also allowed for the creation of custom FamPacks using the mod's API.

FamGuide
The FamGuide is the central item for interacting with Familiars. It appears as a book and is used to select, equip, and view information about available Familiars. When opened, the left page displays details about the currently equipped Familiar, while the right page presents a comprehensive list of all Familiars. Players can navigate through the list using 'next' and 'previous' buttons. Some Familiars are freely available, while others require experience levels to unlock. The FamGuide can be found under the lava bucket tab in the creative inventory.
