XaeroPlus Mod (26.1.2, 1.20.1) – Xaero WorldMap/Minimap Extra Features

XaeroPlus Mod depends on the Xaero WorldMap and Minimap mods and modifies them with additional features and performance improvements – especially for use on anarchy servers, such as 2b2t. Each version of XaeroPlus is only compatible with a specific version of Xaero’s world map and minimap. Xaero’s Minimap can be replaced with Better PVP.

Performance & Optimization

• Boosts FPS by approximately 1.5-3x by limiting minimap render framerate
• Fast map region saving to prevent missing chunks at very high travel speeds
• Allows multiple Minecraft instances to read and write the same map data simultaneously
• Keeps the Minecraft world rendering in the background while Xaero GUIs are open

Minimap Improvements

• Adjustable minimap scale to display more chunks
• Transparent minimap background instead of unused black space
• Fixes entity dot rendering when arrow mode is enabled
• Renders the server view-distance square around the player
• Supports quick dimension switching via keybinds

World Map Enhancements

• Unlocked zoom levels on the world map
• GUI to pan the map to user-entered coordinates
• Follow mode with toggle button
• Press F1 to hide all GUI elements and overlays
• Custom Nether rendering behavior to preserve legacy visuals when cave mode is disabled

Chunk Highlighting

• New chunk highlighting on minimap and world map
• Old chunk highlighting for chunks generated in 1.12.2 or older
  • Overworld and Nether detection based on natural block composition
• Portal highlighting
• Portal skip highlighting to detect potentially loaded portal chunks
• Highlights chunks saved while downloading worlds
