  • Blazing Hatchet: Automatically smelts wood into charcoal when mining logs.
  • Scout's Battle Helm: Increases movement speed as the wearer's health decreases.
  • Hazmat Suit: Protects the player from radiation and poison effects in the Toxic Heap.

Shields

  • Prismatic Shield: Reflects damage back to attackers with light effects.

  • Radiation Shield: Emits a poisonous aura that affects nearby enemies (and the user, unless wearing a Hazmat Suit).

Mechanics and Worldgen#

World Generation

Incendium utilizes the Amplified Nether engine to expand the dimension's verticality. The ceiling is raised to Y=192, allowing for massive mountains and deep chasms.

3D Biome Mapping

Unlike vanilla Minecraft where biomes are generally 2D columns, Incendium uses 3D biome mapping. This allows for vertical biome stacking, such as an Inverted Forest hanging from the ceiling while a Quartz Flats biome exists on the floor below.

Taming the Ghastling

Ghastlings are found imprisoned in Abandoned Towers. To tame one:

  1. Break the glass containment.
  2. Right-click the top of its head with a Fire Charge.
  3. Once tamed, the Ghastling will follow the player and intercept incoming fireballs from hostile Ghasts.

Advancements#

Incendium includes 39 custom advancements to guide progression. Key milestones include:

  • Soul Searcher: Discover every single Incendium biome.
  • You Fool!: Kill the skeleton chef Torte and loot his kitchen.
  • Rescue Mission: Find and tame a Ghastling.
  • UNLIMITED POWER!: Get hit by a Pipeline Sentry's lightning attack.
  • Fallen to Ashes: Survive the Hovering Inferno's final phase and claim your reward.
  • Forged in Flames: Use the Infernal Feather to upgrade your Elytra.
