Overview#
The Wireless Redstone ChickenBones Edition Mod allows the transmission of a redstone signal through the air, with no physical wiring between the sending and receiving points. Instead of laying out long runs of redstone dust, repeaters, and torches, you place a transmitter at the source of a signal and a receiver wherever you want that signal to come out, and the two communicate wirelessly.
This makes large-scale and long-distance redstone automation far more practical. A pressure plate, lever, button, or any other redstone source can drive doors, pistons, lamps, or machines located far away, across walls, or in entirely separate structures, without the bulk and clutter of conventional wiring. The mod also adds a range of handheld tools for configuring, monitoring, and securing those wireless links.
Core Mechanic#
The mod is built around a pair of complementary blocks: a transmitter and a receiver. A transmitter reads the redstone signal applied to it and broadcasts that state wirelessly. A matching receiver picks up the broadcast and reproduces the signal as its own redstone output. When the transmitter's input turns on, the linked receiver's output turns on; when the input turns off, the output follows.
Devices are paired by a shared channel or frequency rather than by direct connection, so the signal does not need line of sight or a continuous redstone path between the two points. This lets a single source control outputs in distant or otherwise unreachable locations, enabling compact, wire-free redstone contraptions.
Blocks#
The mod adds several blocks that form the backbone of a wireless redstone network:
- Wireless Transmitter - Reads an applied redstone signal and broadcasts it wirelessly on its assigned frequency.
- Wireless Receiver - Listens for a broadcast and outputs a matching redstone signal at its own location.
- Wireless Transceiver - A combined unit that can both send and receive, acting as a transmitter and receiver in one block.
- Wireless Jammer - Interferes with wireless transmissions, blocking or disrupting signals in its area.

Together these blocks let you build everything from a simple two-point remote switch to complex networks with many sources and outputs sharing the airwaves.
Tools and Items#
Alongside the network blocks, the mod includes a set of handheld tools for controlling and analyzing wireless signals:
- Wireless Remote - A portable controller for triggering wireless redstone signals on the go, without standing at a physical switch.
- Wireless Map - A visualization tool for viewing wireless devices and their layout.
- Wireless Sniffer - A detector used to find and inspect nearby wireless signals.
- Private Sniffer - A secured variant of the sniffer for working with private or protected transmissions.
- Wireless Tracker - Provides tracking functionality for wireless devices and signals.
- Triangulator - A positioning tool used to locate the source of wireless transmissions.

These tools let players set up, monitor, and troubleshoot their wireless redstone systems.
Components and Materials#
Crafting the mod's devices uses a number of intermediate components and materials:
- Receiver Dish - A standard antenna-style component used in building receivers.
- Blaze Receiver Dish - A blaze-infused dish variant used for specialized receiving.
- Blaze Transceiver - A blaze-based transceiver variant.
- REther Pearl - A core crafting material for wireless devices.
- Obsidian Stick - A reinforced stick-style component used in crafting.
- Stone Bowl - A simple shaped component used in recipes.

These parts are combined to assemble the transmitters, receivers, transceivers, and tools that make up a wireless redstone setup.
