Terralith Data Pack (26.2, 1.20.1) – Biomes, Exploration

Terralith Data Pack adds more than 95 new biomes to Minecraft and reworks almost every vanilla biome, using nothing but vanilla blocks. This pack also brings in terrain shapes the base game never had, from deep canyons and shattered land to floating islands and ocean trenches. Caves get the same treatment, with their own biomes hidden under the surface. Structures are scattered across the new land so there is a reason to keep walking. The result is a world that still looks like Minecraft, only much bigger and stranger.

Features:

Realistic Biomes:

• Yellowstone is the pack’s staple biome, a wide open landscape based on the real US national park.
• Yosemite Cliffs and Shield give you rugged rock and open ground in the same style.
• Highlands and its variants stay flat on top, which leaves room for anything from a mega city to a small cottage.
• Volcanic Peaks and Desert Oases sit at the two extremes, one harsh and one calm.

Fantasy Biomes:

• Moonlight Grove and Amethyst Rainforest turn whole valleys purple and misty.
• Scarlet Mountains throw hard, unforgiving cliffs at anyone trying to climb them.
• Mirage Isles and the nostalgic Alpha Islands are out at sea and take real sailing to find.

Cave Biomes:

• Underground Jungle is packed with plants, and now and then an old abandoned house.
• Infested Caves crawl with spiders, while Fungal Caves are overgrown with fungi.
• Frostfire Caves sit very deep down and play as a nasty sister to the Deep Dark.

Structures:

• Spire is a tall, ominous tower that pierces the sky in the iciest biomes.
• Fortified Villages show up rarely in plains and desert, from villagers who got further as a society.
• Glacial Hut is a small shelter that is a welcome sight on a cold night far from home.

How to Use:

1. Start a brand new world with the pack already loaded. Adding it to a world you have played for a while is a bad idea.
2. Keep it there once the world exists. This pack cannot be taken out of a world again.
3. Load any of the official add-on packs above this one in the pack order, or they will not do anything.
4. Skip other biome-adding data packs. They usually fight over the same biome slots.
5. Pick Terratonic instead of Tectonic if you want that terrain pack as well, because the data pack versions of the two clash.
