Villager Retaliation Mod makes villages feel alive by giving villagers the ability to remember how you treat them. If you are kind and trade fairly, they become more helpful and offer better items. If you steal from their chests, hurt them, or cause trouble, they get angry and fight back. This changes how you interact with villages, turning simple trading posts into real communities where your choices matter. You have to think twice before hurting an iron golem or breaking a bed.

Villager Retaliation Mod

Features:

  • Adult villagers fight back to defend themselves and their friends when you attack them.
  • The mod tracks your reputation with every single villager based on your good and bad actions.
  • Changes what villagers say to you depending on the weather, what you wear, and how much they like you.
  • Lets you give gifts to villagers, and they react differently depending on what you give them.
  • Trusted villagers keep their favorite gifts as special keepsakes.
  • Adds built-in quests that you can complete to earn extra rewards and trust.
  • Skilled villagers unlock special hidden trades when you reach a high enough reputation.
  • Babies stay safe and defenseless, while nitwits usually run away instead of fighting.

Reputation System:

  • Trade often, give good gifts, and defend the village from monsters to build trust.
  • Lose trust quickly by hitting villagers, breaking their beds, or stealing from their chests.
  • Villagers treat you like royalty if they love you, or they refuse to trade and attack you if they hate you.

Conversations and Quests:

  • Talk to villagers through a new interaction screen instead of just seeing a trade menu.
  • Receive over 20 different quests like defending the village or finding lost items.
  • Villagers notice if you have been gone for a long time and greet you differently when you return.

How to Play:

  1. Walk up to a villager and open the new interaction screen to talk, trade, or offer a gift.
  2. Give safe items like emeralds, food, or tools to build up your reputation safely.
  3. Press J to open your Quest Journal and check your active tasks.
  4. Press K to open the Quest Tracker while you look for quest items.
  5. Avoid breaking village chests or beds while villagers are watching, or they will get angry.
