In the vanilla game, a distance traveled in the Nether will equate to eight times that distance in the Overworld. You can enter the Nether, travel 1000 blocks away from your portal, build another portal to return to the Overworld and notice that the Overworld side of the initial portal is 8000 blocks away. This feature changes how the coordinate system in these dimensions work. And to link two portals manually, players have to rely on using the coordinates given in the F3 screen and apply simple math on it. But what if you do not want to view coordinates in the game? Portal Linking Compass Mod is here with the solution. This mod allows you to link portals in different dimensions by using a compass. To do this, right click using the compass onto a portal block in the first dimension to connect the compass to the portal. Then you can travel to the second dimension and the compass will point to the coordinates in the second dimension, where a portal can be built so that it will link to the portal in the other dimension that is connected to the compass.

Features:

  • Introduces a new compass into the game.
  • Allows to link overworld-nether portals correctly.
  • Eliminated the need to view coordinates.
