There is a mechanism in Minecraft that allows you to smelt a sand block into a glass block by smelting it in a furnace. This implies that sand blocks get converted to glass when heated, according to Minecraft logic. But if you have explored desert biomes in Minecraft, you will have noticed lava pools, where lava is in direct contact with sand blocks. But these sand blocks do not get converted into glass under the heat for some reason. Lava Turns Sand into Glass Mod is here to make this in-game logic more consistent. With this mod installed, any sand block that comes in direct contact with lava will instantly be converted into a glass block. This will help save the time and fuel needed to accomplish the same process using a furnace.
