The Titans Mod is a high-difficulty combat mod that introduces massive, skyscraper-sized versions of vanilla mobs. These entities, known as Titans, possess millions of health points, custom animations, and the ability to destroy terrain and ignore standard invulnerability frames. To combat these foes, players must progress through a new tier of materials, starting from Bedrock-level equipment and culminating in Harcadium and Void gear. The mod is designed for end-game play, where even the most powerful vanilla gear is rendered obsolete.

The mod features a unique 'Titan Spirit' mechanic, where Titans cannot be killed by conventional means. They require specialized weapons that deal 'Void Damage' or 'Titan-Slaying' damage to bypass their natural resistance.

Titans are the primary focus of the mod. They are divided into several tiers based on their power and the stage of the game they appear in.

Titan Statistics

Titans do not fight alone. They are supported by various tiers of minions that scale in difficulty.

• Loyalists: Slightly larger and stronger versions of vanilla mobs. They serve as the foot soldiers of the Titan army.
• Zealots: Significantly more powerful than Loyalists, possessing high health and specialized armor. They often spawn near Titans.
• Harbingers: Elite mini-bosses that signal the arrival of a Titan. They have unique models and can easily overwhelm a player in Diamond armor.
• Turrets: Stationary defensive entities that fire high-velocity projectiles at players.

To survive the Titans, players must craft equipment from materials dropped by the Titans themselves.

Materials

• Harcadium: The primary metal of the mod. It is indestructible and used for the highest tier of armor and tools.
• Void Diamond: A rare gem used in the crafting of Void-tier weaponry.
• Titan Soul: Dropped by defeated Titans, used to craft the Growth Serum and high-tier artifacts.

Weapons and Armor

The Growth Serum

The Growth Serum is the core mechanic for spawning Titans. By injecting a vanilla mob with Growth Serum, it will undergo a violent transformation into its Titan form.

Recipe:

• 4 Titan Spirits
• 4 Diamond Blocks
• 1 Nether Star

Titan Death and Spirits

When a Titan's health reaches zero, it does not die immediately. It enters a 'downed' state where its Titan Spirit is exposed. Players must use a Harcadium or Void weapon to strike the spirit and permanently defeat the Titan. If not finished off, the Titan may regenerate.

Damage Caps

Titans have a damage cap mechanic. They cannot be one-shot by external mods (like the Draconic Evolution Staff of Power) unless the weapon specifically deals 'Titan Damage'. This ensures that the fight remains a challenge regardless of other installed mods.

The mod adds several blocks primarily used for crafting and base defense.

• Harcadium Block: An indestructible block that can only be moved by the player who placed it. Used for building Titan-proof bunkers.
• Void Block: A block that emits a dark aura, used in the construction of the Witherzilla Altar.
• Titan Altars: Specific structures found in the world or built by the player to summon the higher-tier bosses like the Wither King.

The mod provides several administrative commands to manage the massive entities:

• /titantest: Spawns a random Titan for testing purposes.
• /titanstop: Freezes all Titans in the world.
• /titankillall: Removes all Titans from the current dimension.

Configuration Options

In the titans.cfg file, players can adjust:

• Spawn Rates: Frequency of Loyalist and Zealot spawns.
• Titan Griefing: Toggle whether Titans can destroy blocks (highly recommended to keep ON for the intended experience).
• Dimensions: Restrict Titans to specific dimensions like the End or the Nether.

Most recipes in The Titans Mod are expensive and require materials from previous boss fights.
