Overview#
Mystford is a high-fantasy adventure map created by McTsts, EnderPig, and rafakado. Serving as an indirect sequel to the Glimford and Warthford maps, it places players in a world threatened by an ancient sorcerer. The map is distinguished by its "Choose Your Path" philosophy, allowing players to solve major conflicts through either combat or diplomacy/trading. It features full voice acting, custom textures, and a unique magic system that replaces traditional Minecraft combat with spell-based interactions.

Core Mechanics#
Spellcasting System
Magic in Mystford is managed through two primary items: the Book of Spells and the Magic Wand.
- Selection: To select a spell, the player must open the Book of Spells and left-click the star icon next to the desired spell name.
- Casting: Once a spell is selected, it is cast by right-clicking with the Magic Wand.
- Acquisition: New spells are learned by finding Scrolls throughout the world or by completing specific NPC tasks.
Time System
Mystford utilizes a custom time system that affects NPC behavior and world accessibility. Certain characters, such as the Gate Guard, only appear at night, while others may lock their houses or change locations based on the hour. Some quests, such as the Orange Quest, require multiplayer interaction specifically at night.

Quest Branching
Most major quests in Mystford offer at least two ways to reach the objective:
- The Path of Violence: Typically involves crafting specialized weapons (like the Silver Sword) to defeat bosses in direct combat.
- The Path of Diplomacy: Involves complex trading chains, shape-shifting, or using specific spells to obtain quest items without bloodshed.

Main Quest Walkthrough#
Pink Quest: The Beginning
Players begin in a cave where they must collect the Book of Spells and speak to the Old Man. This unlocks the initial spells (Contego, Detrimentus, Tempus Celer) and initiates the search for Dark and Crystal Shards.

Green Quest: Dark Shards
Players must collect at least 4 out of 5 available Dark Shards.
- Vampire: Can be killed using a Golden Sword (obtained from the Cleric) or traded with by shape-shifting and offering a Bottle of Blood.
- Wither Worshipper: Requires lighting four torches in the desert cave using the Inflammo spell to retrieve a Wither Skull.
- Werewolf: Can be defeated with a Silver Sword or traded with by shape-shifting and offering Raw Mutton.
- Summoner: Requires a Potion of Youth from the Alchemist's secret room.
- Necromancer: Requires trading bones (found in the King/Queen's graves) for a shard.
Blue Quest: Crystal Shards
Players must collect 8 out of 10 Crystal Shards. These are scattered across the map and often require specific spells like Cooling (for the lava cave) or Water Breathing (for the lake).
Red & Yellow Quests: The Sacrifice
After gathering the shards, players must obtain the Dagger of Sacrifice by defeating the Werewolf King. This leads to the Yellow Quest, where the player must use Pulso Retro to sacrifice the Old Man, unlocking the path to the final confrontation.
Purple & White Quests: The Final Battle
The player enters the Sorcerer's Tower and must use Pulso Retro to deflect the Sorcerer's attacks and strike him multiple times. Defeating him completes the White Quest and wins the map.
