Goodall is a comprehensive animal mod for Minecraft, named after the renowned primatologist Jane Goodall. The mod's primary mission is to educate players about the planet's diverse wildlife, particularly endangered species. Unlike many other mob mods, Goodall focuses on realistic behaviors and ecological roles. It introduces creatures from various biomes, including the African Savanna, lush jungles, temperate forests, and the deep ocean.
A key feature of the mod is its ethical approach to wildlife: for instance, Rhinos do not drop their horns to discourage the simulation of poaching. Instead, the mod provides utility through mechanics like animal transport crates and ant farms, encouraging players to observe and interact with nature rather than simply hunting it.
