In Minecraft, you can craft and fill out maps to navigate across your world easily. But whatever maps you create, all of them will have the same icon when placed in your inventory slots. This means, there is no way to visually distinguish between different maps, unless you rename them. Map In Slot Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1) aims to improve upon this. This mod makes it so that filled out maps will display the contents of the map when placed in an inventory slot.
