Connectivity Mod (26.1.2, 1.20.1) – Solving Network Connection Issues

Connectivity Mod is a technical mod designed to address various issues with network connections to a server (or local game), including problems like login timeouts, DecoderException (decoding exceptions), packet size limits, ghost blocks, payload being too large, and others.

Usage Notes:

• The mod is optional on both client and server sides but offers useful features for both.
• It is not compatible with Timeoutout/XL packets mod.

Commands for Network Stats:

• Client-side:
  • /connectivity packetsClient – shows outgoing traffic from the client.
• Server-side:
  • /connectivity packetsAllPlayers – lists traffic rate of all players.
  • /connectivity packetsPlayer <player> – shows packets sent to a specific player.
  • /connectivity packetsSummary – overview of all packets sent by the server.
  • /connectivity printpacket <PacketType> – logs the largest packet of a type to latest.log.

Additional Info:

• Traffic statistics are updated every minute and keep up to 5 minutes of history.
• Most network traffic comes from chunk packets; modded packets rarely exceed these sizes.
