Luminous Nether Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.4) – A Nether Alive with Danger

Luminous Nether Mod expands the Nether with two new biomes, lots of new mobs, and a variety of building blocks and decorations. This mod adds new gameplay mechanics, loot to find, and dangerous areas to explore. It makes the Nether a more lively and challenging place.

Features:

• Adds two new biomes to the Nether: the Fungal Plains and the Ash Forest.
• Introduces 16 new mobs, including three legendary beasts and three rare beasts.
• Includes tons of new blocks, new wood sets, and decorations for building.
• Brings new gameplay mechanics like rituals and four new status effects.
• Find new companions, armor trims, weapons, and other loot.

New Biomes

• Fungal Plains: A biome covered in yellow toxic mushrooms and home to a hostile faction of piglins called Cultists.
• Ash Forest: A spooky biome filled with undead mobs, strange vines, and new structures.

New Mobs & Companions

• Piglin Cultists: A new piglin faction that attacks players on sight unless they hold a cultist flag.
• Mushlins: Curious monsters that bounce players back with their heads.
• Pottergeists: Tameable spirits that can follow you and hold items.
• Guzzleghast: A large-headed mob that can be pacified with food to drop Ectoplasm balls.
• Legendary Beasts: Fight tough bosses like the Mushlin King and Piglin Executioner for rare rewards.

New Items & Mechanics

• Loot Vases: Break these vases found around the Nether for a chance to get blocks, food, and other resources.
• Rituals: Use a ritual table and Ghostly Essence to perform powerful rituals, such as healing yourself or changing the time of day.
• New Effects: Adds four new effects like Infection, which acts like poison and stops you from sprinting, and Hemorrhage, which damages you when you attack enemies.
• Totem of Beasts: An item that lights up when a legendary beast is nearby.

How to Use:

1. Find Pottergeists in structures within the Ash Forest. Right-click one to tame it as a companion.
2. Craft a Ritual Table and place it on a pedestal. Use Ghostly Essence, dropped by ghost mobs, to perform one of eight different rituals.
3. Feed a Glider some crimson flesh to have a chance to ride it across lava.
4. Hold a cultist flag to prevent Piglin Cultists in the Fungal Plains from attacking you.
