Core Mechanics: Hot Air#

The central mechanic of Prodigy Tech is the movement of hot air. Unlike electricity, hot air naturally moves upwards.

Temperature and Airflow

  • Temperature: Measured in Celsius (°C). Each machine has a minimum temperature requirement to operate. Higher temperatures often speed up processing.
  • Airflow: Determines how much 'power' is being delivered. Machines consume a portion of the airflow to function.
  • Transfer: Hot air is generated by Aeroheaters and moves into the block directly above. It can be redirected using Heat Pipes or collected using Air Funnels.

Heat Dissipation

As hot air moves through pipes or machines, it gradually loses temperature. Efficient layouts minimize the distance between the heat source and the consumer.

Aeroheaters (Power Generation)#

Aeroheaters are the 'engines' of the mod, converting fuel or environmental heat into hot air.

Basic Tier Machines#

The first stage of the mod focuses on creating Ferramic and basic processing.

Explosion Furnace

The Explosion Furnace is the starting point of the mod. It does not use hot air; instead, it uses Explosive Power (EP).

  • Mechanic: You must balance Explosives (Gunpowder, TNT) with Dampeners (Sand, Clay, Ash). If there is too much explosive power without enough dampening, items are destroyed. If balanced correctly, it produces Ferramic Ingots from Iron and Clay.

Rotary Grinder

Processes ores into dusts and wood into sawdust. It is the primary way to achieve ore doubling in the early game.

Heat Sawmill

An efficient wood processor. It converts logs into more planks than a standard crafting table and produces Sawdust as a byproduct, which is useful for the Explosion Furnace.

Incinerator

Converts unwanted items into Ash. Ash is a vital dampener for the Explosion Furnace and can be crafted into Ash Bricks for decoration.

Circuits Tier Machines#

This tier introduces automation and more complex materials like Energion.

Solderer

Used to create Circuit Plates. It requires a heat source and a supply of Solder (Lead or Tin) to assemble electronic components.

Magnetic Reassembler

A specialized machine that can 'reassemble' certain items, often used for converting dusts back into ingots or creating advanced alloys.

Ore Refinery

An upgraded version of the Rotary Grinder. It processes ores much faster and has a chance to produce secondary byproducts (e.g., Gold ore producing Copper dust).

Crystal Growth Chamber

Used to grow Energion Crystals from seeds. These crystals are essential for high-tier Aeroheaters and advanced circuits.

Primordium Tier Machines#

The final tier allows for the transmutation of matter itself.

Primordialis Reactor

This massive machine consumes organic matter to produce Primordium.

  • Variety Bonus: The Reactor has 9 input slots. It is most efficient when provided with 9 different types of plant matter (e.g., seeds, saplings, apples, carrots). It consumes one of each unique item per cycle.

Atomic Reshaper

Uses Primordium and high-temperature hot air to transmute blocks and items.

  • Recipes: Can turn Cobblestone into Andesite/Diorite, or transmute one type of Sapling into another. It is also used to create Zorrasteel, the strongest material in the mod.

Logistics and Air Management#

Moving hot air and items is critical for a functional factory.

  • Heat Pipes: Transports hot air in any direction. However, air loses temperature for every pipe segment it travels.
  • Air Funnel: Placed on top of a machine or pipe to collect air and push it into a Heat Pipe.
  • Blower Fan: Increases the airflow of a system, allowing more machines to run simultaneously.
  • Extractors:
    • Linear Extractor: Pulls items from one side and pushes to the opposite.
    • Funneling Extractor: Pulls from all sides and pushes to one.
    • Dispersing Extractor: Pulls from one side and pushes to all others in a round-robin fashion.

Tools and Equipment#

Zorrasteel Equipment

Zorrasteel is the ultimate material of Prodigy Tech. Tools and armor made from it have unique properties:

  • Unbreakable: Zorrasteel tools do not have durability; they are effectively infinite.
  • Over-enchanting: Using the Zorra Altar, players can apply enchantments to Zorrasteel items that exceed vanilla limits (e.g., Sharpness VI or VII).

Handbows

  • Ferramic Handbow: A medium-range automatic bow that fires rapidly.
  • Zorrasteel Handbow: An upgraded version with higher damage and the ability to be over-enchanted.
