Overview#

The Endergetic Expansion aims to transform the barren void of the End into a diverse and visually stunning dimension. It introduces the Poise Forest, a biome characterized by its purple hues and floating flora. Beyond aesthetics, the mod adds complex biological systems, such as the pollination of plants by insects and the multi-stage life cycle of its flagship mob, the Booflo. It also provides functional improvements to vanilla structures like the End Well and End Gateways, making exploration more rewarding and immersive.

Biomes#

Poise Forest

The Poise Forest is the primary addition to the End's outer islands. It is a dense, alien woodland filled with towering Poise Trees and a ground cover of Poismoss.

  • Appearance: Dominated by purple and pink colors with glowing particles.
  • Flora: Features Poise Trees, Poise Bushes, and Bolloom Buds.
  • Atmosphere: The biome has a theme of "gravitation," reflected in its floating clusters and the behavior of its inhabitants.

Other Biomes (Planned/Extended)

While the Poise Forest is the most complete, the mod's framework includes references to other regions like the Vibra Jungle and Barrends, which further diversify the End's landscape in various versions.

Mobs#

Booflo (Boof)

The Booflo is a large, flying, frog-like creature native to the Poise Forest. It is a central part of the mod's ecosystem.

Stat Value
Health 20 (Adult)
Behavior Passive/Neutral
Drops Booflo Hide
Taming Food Bolloom Fruit
Breeding Item Poise Cluster
  • Taming: Feed a Booflo Bolloom Fruit while maintaining distance. Once tamed, it can be ridden and used to perform high jumps and slow descents.
  • Life Cycle: Booflos have four growth stages, starting as small, tail-only "tadpoles" that eventually grow limbs and become full adults.
  • Customization: Tamed Booflos wear leg bracelets that can be dyed in all 16 Minecraft colors.

Puff Bug

Small, flying insects that are essential for the reproduction of forest flora.

  • Pollination: Puff Bugs fly to Bolloom Buds and pollinate them, allowing the plant to produce Bolloom Fruit.
  • Combat: If attacked, they defend their hives. They can be splashed with potions; their next attack will then apply that potion's effect to the target.
  • Capture: Players can catch Puff Bugs in a Glass Bottle to transport them for farming purposes.

Blocks#

Poise Wood Set

Derived from Poise Stems found in the Poise Forest. It includes a full set of building blocks with a distinct purple texture.

  • Variants: Planks, Stairs, Slabs, Fences, Gates, Doors, Trapdoors, Buttons, Pressure Plates, Signs, and Boats.
  • Poise Chests: Unique chest variants that generate in the End.

Functional & Decorative Blocks

  • Eumus: The "stone" of the Poise Forest. It can be smelted into Eumus Bricks, which have cracked, chiseled, and tiled variants.
  • Poise Cluster: Transparent, leaf-like blocks found on Poise Trees. Interacting with them or shooting them causes them to float upward, carrying entities with them.
  • Boof Block: Crafted from 4 Booflo Hides. It acts as a trampoline, launching entities that walk into it. It can also be used in a Dispenser to act as a deployable airbag.
  • Ender Lights: Includes the Ender Campfire, Ender Torch, and Ender Lantern, all featuring a mystical purple flame.
  • Ender Jack-o-lantern: A purple variant of the Jack-o-lantern (requires Autumnity mod compatibility).

Items#

Consumables

  • Bolloom Fruit: Harvested from pollinated Bolloom Buds. When eaten, it restores hunger but applies the Levitation effect for 5 seconds.
  • Bolloom Fruit Crate: A storage block for 9 Bolloom Fruits.

Equipment

  • Booflo Vest: Crafted from 7 Booflo Hides and 1 Boof Block. This chestplate allows the player to perform up to 6 mid-air jumps before needing to recharge on the ground.
  • Bolloom Balloon: Crafted from Bolloom Fruit and String. These can be attached to entities or fence posts. Attaching enough balloons to an entity will cause it to float away into the sky.
  • Booflo Hide: Dropped by Booflos; used as a primary crafting material for the mod's high-tier gear.

Mechanics#

End Gateway & Well Revamp

The mod visually overhauls the vanilla End structures. The End Well (the exit portal) features glowing runes and improved textures, while the End Gateways (used to travel between islands) have been redesigned with a more "endergetic" aesthetic.

Pollination System

Unlike overworld crops, Bolloom Buds do not grow fruit over time. They must be pollinated by a Puff Bug. Once a Puff Bug enters the bud, it performs a "dance" and the bud opens, revealing the fruit. After harvesting, the bud closes and requires another pollination cycle.

Gravity Manipulation

Many elements of the mod interact with gravity. The Booflo Vest and Bolloom Balloons allow for vertical mobility, while Poise Clusters can be used as organic elevators to reach high islands or structures.
