Dungeons and Taverns Nether Fortress Overhaul Mod (1.21.11, 1.21.1) makes the Nether Fortress in Minecraft even cooler! This mod replaces the regular Nether Fortress with a brand-new design, adding more blaze spawners and exciting new features. You can easily find the fortress using commands, and it includes a special new enchantment called “Wither Coated.” This enchantment makes your sword or axe deal extra damage and inflict the wither effect on enemies. Sometimes, the fortress bridges connect to smaller towers, making exploring even more fun.

Features:

General

  • Completely overhauls the vanilla Nether Fortress structure.
  • Can be located using the command /locate structure minecraft:fortress.
  • At least one Blaze Spawner is always guaranteed.
    • Additional Blaze Spawners can spawn randomly throughout the fortress.
    • Due to datapack limitations, it is not possible to strictly limit the structure to exactly two spawners.

Bridge Overhaul

  • The bridge has been fully redesigned with a more brutalist aesthetic.
  • The structure is slimmer while still preserving the interior walkway.
  • Bridge generation rules:
    • Each bridge piece has a 1/4 chance to spawn a chest containing vanilla Nether Fortress loot.
    • Each straight bridge intersection segment (the section between two crossroads) has a
      1/6 chance to spawn a Blaze Spawner Tower, provided there is enough space.

Interior Hall Overhaul

  • The entire internal hallway system of the fortress has been redesigned.
  • There are three types of hallway segments:
    • Slim Hallways
      • May generate a vanilla Nether Fortress chest, decorative elements, or nothing at all.
    • Stair Hallways
      • Always descend one level.
      • Includes Nether Wart stairs and Blaze stairs.
      • These segments split the hallway flow to continue on the same level and up to two levels higher.
    • Wing Hallways
      • Can contain rooms.
      • Room variants include:
        • 30 rooms sized 7x4x7
        • 11 rooms sized 7x4x15
        • Some rooms include Blaze Spawners or Magma Cube Spawners.
  • Room Loot
    • Rooms may contain chests with Overhauled Nether Fortress Loot.
    • Loot rolls are handled in two steps:
      • First roll uses the vanilla Nether Fortress loot table to ensure mod compatibility.
      • Second roll uses a custom loot table designed specifically for this overhaul.
  • Connection Rules
    • Curved hallway segments cannot connect to other curved segments.
    • Wing hallway segments cannot connect to other wing segments.
