Wan’s Ancient Beasts Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) – Hatch and Ride Your Own Prehistoric

Wan’s Ancient Beasts Mod adds a variety of prehistoric creatures to discover in your Minecraft world. Similar to the Sniffer, you can bring these ancient mobs back to life from eggs found while exploring. The mod also introduces new structures to find, items to craft, and blocks to build with, creating a whole new prehistoric adventure.

Features:

Ancient Creatures & Mobs

• Meet many prehistoric beasts like the Eater, Walker, Crusher, Glider, Soarer, Surfer, Charger, Raider, and Snatcher.
• Each creature has unique behaviors, taming methods, and special abilities.
• Some beasts, like the Soarer and Charger, can be ridden as mounts.
• Find the rare Toxlacanth fish in caves and oceans, which drops items but can cause negative effects.
• Battle a new Illager variant, the Tamer, who rides a Raider into battle during raids.

New Items & Equipment

• Craft powerful gear like the Ancient Club, Reinforced Shield, and Hang Glider.
• Equip your mounts with special armor, such as Surfer Armor and Charger Armor.
• Find Raider Horns and craft them into three variants with unique area-of-effect abilities.
• Discover new food items like Nasty Stew and Cooked Toxlacanth.

Blocks & Plants

• Build with new materials like Straw Blocks and a full Ginkgo Wood Set.
• Watch out for dangerous blocks like Crusher Spikes and Quicksand.
• Use the Paleo Table to duplicate pottery sherds or turn beast eggs into decorative blocks.
• The Sniffer can now dig up new seeds for plants like Rafflesia, Sundew, and Ginkgo Trees.

World Generation & Structures

• Explore new structures like Mesa Temples, Ice Spike Castles, Desert Ruins, and Abandoned Villages.
• Search Dig Sites, Frozen Nests, and Dead Coral biomes to find ancient eggs, fossils, and other loot.
• Excavate suspicious sand, gravel, and ice to uncover hidden treasures.

How to Use:

• When riding a tamed Charger, press “C” for a headbutt attack or “Spacebar” for a charge attack.
• While riding a tamed Surfer in the water, press “C” to restore your oxygen or “Spacebar” near the surface to jump a great distance.
• Press “C” while looking at a tamed Snatcher to make it climb on your shoulder. Press “C” again to throw it towards a chest to collect items for you.
• Use a Chisel instead of a Brush to excavate Suspicious Ice. Right-click the block several times to get the loot.
