Cubic Sun and Moon 9minecraft Resource Pack (26.2) – Chunky 3D Blocky Skies

Cubic Sun and Moon 9minecraft Resource Pack reimagines Minecraft’s sky by turning the normally flat, 2D sun and moon into chunky 3D cubes that match the game’s blocky style. This build is fully updated for Minecraft 26.2.

Instead of the usual flat squares that hang in the sky, Cubic Sun and Moon renders the sun as a glowing cube and the moon as a cube that cycles through all eight lunar phases, so the sky feels more three-dimensional and playful. The pack keeps the vanilla colours and lighting, so sunrises, sunsets and moonlit nights still look natural – the celestial bodies are simply reshaped into cubes. It also includes a lightly retextured painting as a bonus.

Because it only changes a handful of sky textures, the pack is extremely lightweight and compatible with almost everything, including shader packs (as long as the shader does not replace the sun and moon itself) and space mods such as Ad Astra, Astrocraft, Galacticraft and Stellar View. It is a pure vanilla resource pack: there is nothing to install besides the pack itself, no mods or loaders are required, and it makes no gameplay changes.

How to Use:

• Download the pack .zip file below.
• Drop the .zip into your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder.
• In game, open Options → Resource Packs and move Cubic Sun and Moon to the active list.
• Click Done. The sun and moon are now rendered as 3D cubes.
