Golden Age Combat Mod (1.20.4, 1.18.2) brings back one of the best features of old Minecraft, the combat system. As players progress through the game with the newer combat system, they often forgot how it felt like to block with swords and slash attacks. At the same time, there will also be no cooldown animation, which is only recently added. However, there are a few flaws that entailed reverting the combat system back to the old one. For example, players will no longer have the access to the attack indicator as well as attack speed tracing, thus would make players vulnerable to unknown enemies hiding in the dark. Of course, one of the best features, blocking with swords will be reintroduced to allow players to fence better against adversaries in the game. Later on, players can guard 50% of upcoming attack damage by holding up their swords once again.
