Overview#
Stay True is a 16x16 resource pack that keeps the original Minecraft art style while tidying it up. Every texture is redrawn at vanilla resolution, so the game looks like default Minecraft with cleaner shading, softer noise and small fixes - never a different art direction.
It changes only how the game looks. Gameplay, mechanics and block behaviour are all untouched.
What It Changes#

Because it stays at 16x, the pack loads and runs as fast as the default textures.
How to Install#
- Download the pack
.zip(do not unzip it). - In Minecraft, open Options -> Resource Packs.
- Click Open Pack Folder and drop the
.zipinside. - Back in the menu, move the pack from Available to Selected.
- Press Done - the textures apply immediately.
To go back to default, simply move the pack out of the Selected list.
Compatibility#
- Works with any world, new or existing - it is purely visual.
- Safe to add or remove at any time with no effect on saves.
- Runs on both singleplayer and multiplayer (it is client-side).
- 16x resolution means no performance cost over the default look.
Tips#
- If several packs are enabled, put Stay True at the top of the Selected list so it takes priority.
- A resource reload can be forced in-game without leaving the world.
- Pair it with a subtle sky or GUI add-on if you want small extras; Stay True focuses on the core textures.
