Recruits Living Villages Mod (1.20.1) – Command Armies and Conquer Rival Towns

Recruits Living Villages Mod extends the Recruits mod by giving your soldiers a real home to fight for. It turns normal factions into active settlements that live their own lives even when you walk away. The villages grow larger, villagers go to work, and armies prepare for battles. They can even declare war on other towns and conquer them. Everything runs quietly in the background, so the world keeps changing while you explore other places.

Features:

• Background Simulation: Keeps the town running, growing, and fighting even when you are far away in unloaded chunks.
• Emerald Economy: Collects taxes from villagers to pay for new buildings, soldiers, and upgrades.
• Villagers take on real jobs like farming and butchering, leveling up from Novice to Master to produce better food.
• Spawns armies with a chain of command, where leaders wear special gear and new leaders take over if one falls.
• Lets factions declare war, attack rival towns, and conquer them to collect more wealth.
• Calculates battle results behind the scenes based on troop levels, gear, and a bit of luck.
• Adds a clean village menu on lecterns to check your population, taxes, and soldier equipment.
• Upgrades houses and adds working mines that produce materials over time.
• Gives you a helpful tutorial book as soon as you join a world.

Mod Compatibility:

• Works with the Musket mod to give crossbowmen muskets for a higher cost.
• Pairs with Epic Knights to give armor smiths and soldiers different weapons based on their class.
• Uses the Corpse mod to let soldiers loot food and gear from fallen enemies after a battle.

Commands:

• /rvvillage <village>: open the menu for a specific town.
• /rvjoin: join the army of the town you are standing in.
• /rvhire <type> <count> [group]: pay emeralds to hire your own group of troops.
• /rvwar <village>: start a war against an enemy town.
• /rvwar accept: agree to join a war your faction started.
• /rvwar decline: refuse to join a war.
• /rvfaction: manage towns and wars if you have server admin rights.
• /rvfind: search for the closest town.

How to Use:

1. Find a town hall and right-click the lectern inside to open the village menu.
2. Stand in the town hall and type /rvjoin in the chat to become part of that town.
3. Earn emeralds and use them to hire your own soldiers to follow you.
4. Help your town win a battle in person to earn extra emerald bonuses.
