Shield Fixes Mod (1.21.11, 1.20.1) addresses two Minecraft bugs related to shields. It resolves issues with shield sounds (MC-105068 – Attacking a shield-blocking player always plays the player hurts sound) and corrects the animation glitch where the player’s shield doesn’t display blocking properly (MC-238293 – The animation of several actions is sometimes not displayed for other players).

    • Plays a sound when a player’s shield is disabled

  • Fixed Shield Blocking Animation
    • Corrects cases where a player is blocking but the animation is not shown
    • Makes it clear whether a player is actually blocking or not
    • Very useful for PvP situations
  • Accurate Blocking Delay
    • Respects Minecraft’s built-in 5-tick shield delay
    • Blocking animation only appears when the shield is truly active
    • Prevents misleading visuals from shield spamming
    • Optional toggle via /walksy5tickdelay command
