Slow-burn psychological horror is the aim of The Broken Script, an add-on built to make the world itself feel hostile. It needs Experimental Features turned on, because it relies on scripting APIs for its disturbing effects.

Entities such as Tether Death, Circuit Stare, Circuit Stalk and Fever Stalk hunt the player, alongside abstract threats like Fractured Rock and Integrity Watching, and several Integrity forms including Integrity Uwu, Integrity Curious and Integrity Arm. Events can destroy player creations and even eject players from the game, players may end up trapped in infinite mazes of cobblestone or bedrock, and the moon in the sky gets corrupted. A VHS overlay, which players can configure, adds a retro, distorted look in Minecraft Bedrock, and 21 more items, mobs and blocks are included. It aims for creeping dread rather than simple jump scares.
