The Midnight Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) – What A Hostile Place

The Midnight Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) adds a new, mysterious and scary dimension to explore. It is a dimension of darkness; the only light comes from crystals and the various life of the dimension. You may travel willingly to this dimension, though you may unwillingly encounter a rifter and be dragged into this strange and hostile world… To get to the dimension, you will need to find a rift. These will spawn randomly during the night both above ground and in caves. Though before you go, make sure to be prepared! The Midnight is a hostile place.

• Nightstone: Base building block in The Midnight dimension, resistant to miasma corrosion.
• Shadestone: Decorative block with shadow effects, used for aesthetic structures.
• Trenchstone: Dense stone variant, higher hardness for defensive builds.
• Dark Sand: Loose sediment, generates in barren areas, affected by dark water flow.
• Ebonite Ore: Mined for ebonite, requires nightstone pickaxe, drops raw ebonite.
• Nagrilite Ore: Mid-tier ore for tools, Fortune enchantment increases yield.
• Tenebrum Ore: High-tier ore, smelts to tenebrum ingots for advanced crafting.
• Rendium Ore: Yields geodes, which crack to fragments for shards.
• Shadowroot Log: Tree wood, crafts planks and tools with low light emission.
• Bladeshroom: Fungal block, caps throwable as projectiles with damage.
• Rockshroom: Shearable for organic materials, spawns in fungal biomes.
• Bogshroom: Generates powder when processed, used in potions.
• Miasma: Toxic fluid block, damages unprotected players, flows like water.
• Dark Water: Opaque liquid, source of visibility reduction and mob spawning.

• Ebonite Ingot: Crafted from raw ebonite, used for mid-tier tools and armor.
• Nagrilite Ingot: Smelted ore, enables mining of tenebrum.
• Tenebrum Ingot: Highest tier material, crafts durable equipment.
• Rendium Shard: Assembled from fragments, component for enchanted items.
• Geode: Throwable item, cracks on hard surfaces to yield 3-5 fragments.
• Corrupted Pearl: Dropped by nightshades, used in ender-like teleportation.
• Unstable Fruit: Food from bushes, restores hunger but causes nausea effect.
• Stinger Egg: Cookable food, provides temporary speed boost.
• Bladeshroom Cap: Projectile from fungus, deals piercing damage up to 68 blocks.
• Raw Tenebrum: Ore drop, smelts to ingot, Fortune max 4 drops.
• Nagrilite Pickaxe: Mining level 3, breaks all dimension ores.

Entities

• Nightstag: Passive herbivore, drops stag flank, spawns in forests.
• Slink: Passive crawler, harmless, generates in grassy areas.
• Rifter: Hostile summoner, appears near portals, calls reinforcements.
• Stalker: Ambush predator, invisible until attack, high damage.
• Voidwalker: Teleporting hostile, summons voids for area denial.
• Shadecrawler: Fast-moving arachnid, poisons on hit, climbs walls.
• Nightshade: Neutral phantom, 40 HP, drops corrupted pearls, spawns at night.
• Hunter: Aerial hostile, drops wings, dives from heights.

Biomes

• Ancient Forest: Dense shadowroot trees, low visibility, passive mobs.
• Dark Forest: Thick foliage, frequent rifter spawns, fungal growths.
• Barren Lands: Sandy terrain, exposed ores, high wind erosion simulation.
• Miasma Crater: Toxic pools, corrosive environment, rare minerals.
• Vigilant Forest: Unstable bushes, nightstag herds, defensive flora.
• Towering Vigilant Forest: Tall trees, vertical exploration, glider-friendly.
• Vigilant Glade: Open clearings, fruit bushes, balanced ecosystem.

• Ruins: Ancient debris sites, contain loot chests with modded artifacts.
• Miasma Craters: Natural formations, generate miasma sources, ore veins.
• Nightshroom Fairy Circles: Mushroom rings, spawn slinks, potion ingredients.
• Shadowroot Towers: Tall spires, climbing challenges, vantage points.
• Barren Outposts: Scattered remnants, defensive positions against hostiles.
