The Obsidian Boat Mod (1.20.4, 1.19.3) adds into the game a new variant of the boat, which is made using the most rigid material in the game, Obsidian. While an Obsidian Boat is unnecessary in the overworld as players could easily commute through the ocean and the sea with a regular boat, they cannot cross a lava lake with a wooden boat as it will break instantly. Therefore, every time players have to cross lava, they would have to craft a fireproof potion with a complicated recipe in order to swim through it. However, with Obsidian Boat, players would be granted an opportunity to create a boat made out of obsidian, this boat would be able to withstand the heat of the lava and allow players to easily cross this adversity. The Obsidian Boat is also very rigid, therefore underwater creatures would not be able to destroy the boat easily.
