Shear Madness Mod lets you change how sheep look by giving them the texture of different blocks. Using a special chisel, you can make a sheep appear to be made of anything from TNT to Glowstone or even diamond blocks. Some of these new sheep also gain special abilities based on the block they look like.

Shear Madness Mod

Features:

  • Use an iron or diamond chisel to apply block textures to sheep.
  • Give special abilities to sheep based on their new block texture.
  • Change sheep back to normal by using an empty chisel on them.
  • Configure the mod’s settings for shearing and breeding behavior.

Functional Sheep:

  • Redstone Sheep: Trigger redstone signals.
  • TNT Sheep: Explode when exposed to a redstone signal.
  • Glowstone Sheep: Light up the area around them.
  • Crafting Table Sheep: Work as a portable crafting table.
  • Anvil Sheep: Function just like a normal anvil.
  • Cactus Sheep: Deal damage to mobs that touch them and destroy items.
  • Magma Sheep: Damage mobs that walk on them as if they were on fire.

Commands & Configuration:

This mod offers several options that you can change in the shearmadness.cfg file.

Shearing Behavior:

  • RevertSheep: The default setting. Shearing a chiseled sheep turns it back into a normal sheep.
  • ChiselFarm: Allows sheep to regrow their block-wool, letting you farm blocks from them.
  • CannotShear: Disables shearing for chiseled sheep completely.

Breeding Behavior:

  • Unchiseled: The default setting. Baby sheep are born as normal sheep.
  • SimpleBreeding: A baby sheep will have the same block texture as one of its parents.

You can also use a command to opt in or out of Chance Cube sheep appearing:

/shearmadness chancecubes

How to Use:

  1. Craft an iron or diamond chisel.
  2. Right-click while holding the chisel to open its preview menu.
  3. Place the block you want to use into the slot in the top-left corner.
  4. Close the menu.
  5. Left-click on any sheep to apply the block’s texture to its wool.
  6. To turn a sheep back to normal, simply left-click it with an empty chisel. The block will be returned to your inventory.
