Golem Overhaul Mod adds nine new types of golems to your Minecraft world. Each new golem has its own special skills and drops. You can ride the giant Netherite Golem into battle or use it to summon smaller Coal Golems. If you need to protect your farm, the Hay Golem stops mobs from trampling your crops. You can also trade emeralds with the Barrel Golem to get helpful items. This mod gives you plenty of new helpers to find and build across different biomes.

Features:

  • 9 New Golem Types: The Golem Overhaul Mod brings a whole new set of friendly and fighting helpers to different biomes in your world.
  • Unique Abilities: Gives every single mob a special job, from protecting your crops to carrying bees on their back.
  • You can interact with these new mobs using normal items like shears, flint and steel, or dead bushes to change how they act.
  • Adds a fun bartering system where you drop emeralds near certain mobs to get random loot back.
  • Lets you ride the biggest new golem into battle and control its attacks.

Heavy Fighters:

  • You can ride the Netherite Golem and press your jump key to attack enemies.
  • Right-click the Netherite Golem with a gold ingot to apply a shiny trim, which stops Piglins from attacking it.
  • Give the Netherite Golem a lava bucket so it can summon smaller helpers to fight by its side.
  • Terracotta Golems spawn in badlands biomes and fight monsters naturally.
  • You can give a Terracotta Golem a cactus to make its punches hurt more.
  • Hand a Terracotta Golem a dead bush so it can shoot enemies from far away.

Village & Farm Helpers:

  • Barrel Golems spawn in villages and hide inside their barrels to block almost all damage when hurt or when night falls.
  • Drop emeralds near a Barrel Golem to trade for items like seeds, iron, or rare loot.
  • Hay Golems stay peaceful and stop other mobs from jumping on and breaking your farm crops.

Nature & Biome Golems:

  • Honey Golems live in birch forests and shoot sticky honey to slow down enemies.
  • Bees live inside the Honey Golem, heal it, and help it fight.
  • You can use shears on a full Honey Golem to collect honey blobs.
  • Light a Candle Golem with flint and steel so it shoots fireballs, but this hurts the mob over time until its flame goes out.
  • Tell a Candle Golem to sit down so it takes much less damage from arrows.
  • Kelp Golems swim very fast underwater and get stronger, heal faster, and take less damage when they get near a conduit.
  • Slime Golems spawn deep down in slime chunks and come in both big and small sizes.
  • Coal Golems stay quiet near underground coal ores until you light them with flint and steel.
  • Once lit, the Coal Golem fights enemies but breaks apart after it finishes attacking.

How to Use:

  1. Right-click a Netherite Golem to ride it, and press your jump key to make it attack.
  2. Right-click a Netherite Golem with a gold ingot to make Piglins ignore it, or use a lava bucket on it to unlock its summon skill (press “R” to call helpers).
  3. Drop emeralds on the ground near a Barrel Golem to trade for random items.
  4. Right-click a Candle Golem block to spawn the mob. You can right-click the golem to make it sit, or use flint and steel on it so it can shoot fire.
  5. Place a Terracotta Golem statue near a heat source to spawn it, then right-click the golem with a cactus or dead bush to change how it fights.
  6. Use shears on a full Honey Golem to collect honey blobs, which you can throw at mobs to slow them down.
  7. Use flint and steel on an unlit Coal Golem to wake it up so it can attack hostile mobs.
