Shippy Ships Mod adds big, working sailing ships to your world. It gives you new ways to travel across oceans, rivers, and coastlines with your friends. You can build different types of wooden boats, manage a crew of players or villagers, and even fight in sea battles if you add cannons.

Shippy Ships Mod

Features:

  • Animated Sails: The sails open and close smoothly when you press your keys, and the rudder turns when you steer.
  • Ship Sinking: Ships take damage instead of breaking instantly, and they slowly sink to the bottom of the sea when their health runs out.
  • The boats sway back and forth in the water, and they rock even more during rain or thunderstorms.
  • You can store your items inside the ship’s built-in storage space while you travel.
  • Deep water storms slowly damage your boat, so you have to be careful in the open ocean.
  • You can repair a damaged boat by right-clicking on it with wooden planks.
  • Ships deal ramming damage if they crash into other things at high speeds.
  • Sunken ships keep your items safely inside their storage so you can swim down and rescue your loot.

Ship Types:

  • Sailboat: A small and fast boat for shallow water that holds up to 3 passengers.
  • Cog: A large, slow ship with lots of health and storage that holds up to 11 passengers.
  • Caravel: A strong, fast ship for long ocean trips that holds up to 28 passengers and needs a crew to work.

Wood Modifiers:

  • Hardwoods (like Mangrove and Dark Oak) make ships stronger but slower to turn.
  • Softwoods (like Cherry and Spruce) make ships faster and easier to steer but weaker.
  • Medium woods (like Oak and Birch) give you a balance of speed and strength.

Crew System:

  • Players and villagers count as crew members on your boat.
  • Having enough crew makes the ship turn faster and speed up quicker.
  • Big ships need a minimum number of crew members, or they become very hard to steer.
  • Adding extra crew members past the standard amount gives you bonus speed.

How to Use:

  1. Craft a ship builder block using three logs and place it on the ground.
  2. Right-click the builder block and give it the items it asks for to build your boat step by step.
  3. Push the finished boat into the water to start sailing.
  4. Press W to open the sail and speed up.
  5. Press S to close the sail and slow down.
