In the vanilla game, a lectern is crafted using four wooden slabs and a bookshelf. But if you try to replace the bookshelf with a chiseled bookshelf, the recipe will not work. This feels like an inconsistency since the chiseled bookshelf is also literally a bookshelf. All Bookshelves in Lecterns Mod (1.20.6, 1.20.1) allows you to craft lectern using the two bookshelf variants in the game – The regular one and the chiseled variant.
