Besides the regular furnaces in the game, Minecraft has two other furnace variants – Blast furnaces & Smokers. Blast furnaces are intended to smelt metal ores and other heavy stuff, while smokers are meant for cooking. In the vanilla game, you can smelt sand in a furnace to convert them into glass blocks. This has to be done using regular furnaces as blast furnaces, unfortunately, do not allow the smelting of sand blocks. But not anymore! Blasting Smelts Glass Mod is here to change that. With this mod installed, you can smelt sand into glass with the help of a blast furnace, allowing you to complete the smelting in less time compared to regular furnaces.
