I Want That Back Mod introduces a simple, yet very useful crafting tweak that allows you to reduce the wastage of resources in game. In the vanilla game, if you combine a hopper, chest, TNT or a furnace with a minecart, you will not be able to reverse the process. This means if you accidentally crafted some extra hopper minecarts, you will not be able to separate them into hoppers and minecarts. But with this mod installed, you will be able to obtain the hopper back. The minecart will be lost in the process. This also works with chest boats. You can obtain the chest back, but not the boat.
