The Informational Accessories Mod is a brilliant departure from the cluttered F3 debug menu. It ingeniously replaces the traditional display of data with a system where information is tied to specific in-game items. By providing information only through relevant items, the mod streamlines the gameplay interface, maintaining the game’s challenge and exploration. The mod introduces various informational accessories, each offering unique insights: the Compass reveals player X and Z coordinates, the Stopwatch displays player movement speed, the Sextant keeps track of the current moon phase, the Depth Meter shows the player’s Y-coordinate, the Slimey Compass notifies if the player is in a slime chunk, and the Chunker provides the X and Y coordinates of the current chunk. Notably, even vanilla items become sources of valuable information, enriching the gameplay.
