Minecraft 1.21.7 Official adds a new music disc and painting referencing A Minecraft Movie, and fixes some critical issues from Minecraft 1.21.6. It is not compatible with 1.21.6 servers.

Music Disc

  • Added the “Lava Chicken” music disc by Hyper Potions.
  • Obtained by killing a zombie while it is riding a chicken (a chicken jockey).
  • If the chicken is killed before the zombie is, the music disc is not dropped.
  • Has a comparator output of 9 when played in a jukebox.

Paintings

  • Added a new painting by Sarah Boeving

Data Pack

  • The pack format version is now 81.

Resource Pack

  • The pack format version is now 64.

  • MC-299017 – Text on glowing signs is not visible on some graphics.
  • MC-299071 – Memory Leak in ItemStackRenderState leads to OutOfMemoryError.
  • MC-299110 – Force upgrading does not write new DataVersion to converted data
  • MC-299126 – The server crashes when certain mobs ride a turtle

How to install:

  • To install the Official Release, open up the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the “Launch Options” tab.
  • Official Release can corrupt your world, please backup and/or run them in a different folder from your main worlds.
