No Expensive Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1) no longer shows Too Expensive whenever anvil is used. Previously, when you used an anvil to repair or combine weapons beyond 39 experiences, it will not be able to be performed and will show Too Expensive on the anvil, making it very difficult to keep your precious item. No Expensive Mod will change that, and the Mod will allow you to be enhanced, equipped, or repaired beyond 39 experiences, helping you craft more powerful items.

Features:

  • No Anvil Limits: Combine items and enchanted books without level caps—even beyond 39 experience levels.
  • Custom Repair Cost:
    • /noexpensive maxLevel – View or set the max repair cost.
    • Set to 0 for auto-calculated costs.
  • Higher-Level Enchant Merge:
    • /noexpensive combineHigher true – Merge enchantments to their highest level.
  • Enchantment Compatibility Control:
    • Make normally incompatible enchantments work together (e.g. Mending + Infinity).
    • Commands to add, remove, or list enchantment compatibilities.

Configuration & Commands:

  • Config stored in .minecraft/NoExpensive.json
  • Reload or reset config with:
    • /noexpensive reload
    • /noexpensive reset
  • Compatible enchantments by default:
    • Mending + Infinity
    • Multishot + Piercing
    • Sharpness + Smite + Bane of Arthropods
    • All Protection types
