Realistic Sleep Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) – Make Sleeping Actually Simulate Time Passing
Normally in Minecraft, when you sleep the game just skips straight to morning, which feels unrealistic. Realistic Sleep Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) changes that by letting time actually progress throughout the night.
The mod provides 3 different methods:
- Method 1: Finds all TileEntities registered in the vanilla registry and ticks them at 1/4 the time that passes overnight. At the same time, potion effects are updated (1:1 scale) and the player heals based on remaining hunger.
- Method 2: Similar to Method 1, but instead of checking the registry, it grabs all TileEntities in all loaded chunks and ticks them. More accurate, but a bit slower.
- Method 3 (default): Speeds up the entire Overworld, timelapsing the whole night until morning. This means not only machines, but also crops, mobs, tree decay—literally everything—gets updated faster. Potion effects and player healing also work the same way as in the other methods.
Note: This mod is not compatible with mods that change the number of players required to sleep (e.g., Morpheus) or mods that alter the day/night cycle length.
Features:
- Time progresses naturally while sleeping, instead of instantly skipping to morning.
- Updates during sleep (depending on the chosen method):
- TileEntities (in the Overworld).
- Potion effects (for sleeping players in the Overworld).
- Health regeneration (for sleeping players in the Overworld).
- Method 3 speeds up the entire Overworld:
- Machines continue working.
- Crops grow.
- Mobs move around.
- Trees decay.
- Absolutely everything ticks faster, nothing is skipped.
