Safe Storage Addon (1.20) provides enhanced security to your storage. You can set personalized passwords to lock your containers and prevent unauthorized access. The locked containers become impervious to mining and explosions, providing unmatched protection for your valuables. With Safe Storage, you can safeguard your treasures and play with peace of mind, knowing that your valuables are shielded by robust defenses.

Features:

Locking Containers

  • The containers that can be locked are chest, trapped chest, barrel, dropper, dispenser, and shulker boxes. To lock containers, rename the tripwire hook into ‘locker’ (case insensitive) and use it to interact with the containers you wish to secure, then a Locking Container UI will appear.

  • Create a password and click the submit button to lock it. A password you need to create must have at least 5 characters. Once successfully locked, the player who locked it will be remembered and will become the owner.
  • A locked container cannot be able to mine.

  • They are also protected from any kind of explosion. In the GIF below, the chest on the left isn’t locked, while the chest on the right is locked.

Unlocking Containers

  • A locked container will ask players to put a password first before they can access it. A message will appear when you successfully unlock it. The unlocked state will stay for 5 seconds only, access before it automatically locks again. But worry not, while you’re accessing it and it is locked, you will not get interrupted.

Change Password

  • To edit the locked container, rename the tripwire hook into ‘editor’ (case insensitive) and use it to interact with the containers you wish to edit, then an editing UI will appear.

Forgot Password?

  • Did you forget your password? No worries, the owner can retrieve it using a tripwire hook, rename it into ‘retriever’ (case insensitive), and use it to interact with the containers you wish to retrieve the password, and the password will show to you.
  • Note: A player who sets the password for the container is the owner, only the owner has permission to retrieve the password.
