Whole trees fall with a single swing thanks to Treecapitator by Effect99, an add-on that makes gathering wood much quicker. It needs Experimental Features enabled for its scripting APIs.

Any axe works, whether from the base game or other addons. Breaking the lowest log of a tree removes all of its logs automatically. For balance, the axe loses durability for each log felled, but it will not break completely: when durability gets low the feature turns off temporarily and a small on-screen message says so. Unbreaking slows the loss, and crouching while breaking a log skips the effect so logs can be chopped one by one in Minecraft Bedrock.
