Torches and other light-emitting items now brighten your surroundings as you hold them with Authentic Dynamic Light, an addon that lets blocks and items emit light in real time, even custom light blocks.

Offhand items work too: a right-click into the air while holding one makes it glow. A Light Checker and a Light Remover Flag give you tools to manage the light sources in your world. In Minecraft Bedrock it requires Experimental Features, because it relies on scripting APIs.
